I thought it might be an idea to set up a seperate thread for this system, rather than being hidden inside the "Paper Tipsters" thread.
System details…
It tends to work best on the turf from 1st June to 31st August, I’ve never followed it on the all weather or on the turf outside the period mentioned but let’s give it a go.Target races are flat handicaps on the turf with at least 8 runners but do not include Apprentice, Amateur Rider, Lady Rider, Selling or Maiden Handicap races. We’re after just ordinary flat handicap races. What intend to do in this thread is to keep seperate figures for turf and all weather, plus a combined total.
Find such a race, note the top and bottom weights, then work out what the middle point is…
Top weight: 10-00
Bottom weight 7-10
Middle point is 8-12Top weight: 9-09
Bottom weight 8-04
Middle point is 9-00½In instances where there is a half ignore it so in the second example the middle point is 9-00.
From that middle point going up, note the first runner that has won either or both of the last 2 races, but they must have been run this season. This is your selection.
If there are 2 horses then your selection is the one carrying the lower weight, if they both carry the same weight then it’s down to you.
Go through the cards and note any selections that you see and their probable SP. The selection is the one with the lowest probable SP. However, if you are a fan of perm betting i.e. Lucky 15/21/63 or Yankee/Canadian/Heinz then there’s no reason why you cannot put some of the selections into one of those bets.

and I do like these prices which are much better than I am accustomed to.
No I did not bet on them but will keep on watching and hope the ideas taken from yourself will continue to prove productive but I must learn which system to settle for.

There’s only one way to get comfortable with a system and that is to follow it for a while. I have found that I tend to do like you mention and add my own "refinements". As long as the underlying system is working reasonably well, then there’s a chance that minor modifications might improve the results.
As you noted before on the other thread, this system can produce a lot of selections so it might be worth sticking to ones that are Distance and/or Course winners or perhaps that have been top rated by the form expert in the paper that a person reads. No system will win all the time but as long as there is a steady stream of winners then we’re halfway there.
Personally i like the Lucky 15 bet and small stakes each way keeps me amused, if I can get a full house one day following this kind of system then I will be a very happy chappy

I am going to stop following the jumps selections, the system wasn’t designed for the jumps and there is no signs that anything has changed on the races followed so far.As mentioned previously, this is best followed from June 1st through to the end of August, but I will continue to put up the flat and AW hustlers for the time being.
