Yes that makes sense, elcartero, why Billion couldn’t have just said that to start with I’ll never know, he’s to busy spying on the old ladies with his telescope on their way to lunch time bingo.

Bill for an Irish combination might be worth looking at Bolger/Manning or the O’Briens. Bolger’s were very hot early doors but may have cooled off lately.

Ah, here come the Bingo girls.

Greed is the failing of far too many punters and I do not exclude myself from this group.

    However the likes of

    elcartero

have shown us the way to profit by being content with steady returns, after all a small profit is better than any kind of loss.

My suggestion is in no way unique but will help overcome some losses but sadly can be at the expense of missing some winners as well. It is very much down to personal style.

Hannon/Hughes have two runners tomorrow at Chepstow: –

2.50 CAPE OF JOY available at 8/1
    then
    4.20 ERODIUM

I have backed CAPE OF JOY and hope to be back in Essex in time to find out if I have a winner or need to follow ERODIUM.

Old fashion Stop at a Winner. It may be required to increase stakes depending on prices but I am hoping 1.2.3 should do the trick, as I say if required.

Johnston/Fanning have four at Musselburgh tomorrow and under different circumstances I may have played them, however one team per day will I hope cover my requirements and because I will be on the road back to the Essex Badlands the Hannon/Hughes two gets my vote over Johnston/Fanning four.

I hope I have not gone on too long for you

    Nathan

but feel a full explanation can sometimes be helpful and I hope following such combinations will lead us along the route to profit.

Just one other thought should you not fancy Hannon/Hughes anywhere else other than Windsor on a Monday evening it may be worth seeking out the best combinations at every venue.

I’d back um anywhere Bill not just Windsor on a Monday night. Goodwood, Newbury and Ascot seem good hunting grounds for the combination aswell. Have Toronado Ante post at 20/1 for the Derby current top price 7’s so I’m keeping my little pinkies crossed there. Richard Hughes has a column in the racing post on a Saturday(starting this weekend) and although you shouldn’t necessarily read too much into jockey comments it’s good to see if he has anything of interest to say that you might of missed, in fact I rate him a good judge of a horses chance.

Includes winners for Ivory, Haggas, Morrison and Varian.

    Here’s another angle to H + H at W.

Hannon has 2 runners in the 7.30 both within Hughes weight limit’s yet he takes the ride on the Gosden horse Vanity Rules.

    Two years ago

    Nathan

pointed us in the direction of Windsor with this thread.

Hannon and Hughes and Windsor and Monday – well things have changed just a little, Hannon is younger and Hughes has changed his name from Richard to

    Nathan

but Windsor and Mondays, nothing has changed the bandwagon rolls on :D

Yes Bill, Hannon Jnr has started the season off very well, I’ve backed him to win the trainers championship so every win is greeted with a fist shake from me.
yes I know what your think (fist shake) it’s purely just a fist shake, you got a dirty mind bill……

It was a long while ago, a very long while ago Nathan and still some folk don’t like Windsor.

Only today Purwell, aka Ferdy posted he does not like the place. but that is another issue.

A certain young Richard Hughes has moved on but when you have enjoyed success it must remain in the heart and head as a good place.

With your huge respect for the team can you update us as to if things and people still reign supreme at Windsor.

You won’t get any jockeys with the class of Richard Hughes
however if a horse fits a system and you see Hannon as trainer I wouldn’t put you off

Windsor is such a quirky course and the horses are nearly always on the turn, one way or another. That is my reason for disliking it although I suppose course specialists must do well.

I was hoping Nathan you would refresh the system and bring it up to date.

    Perhaps not.

Sorry Bill, this system sort of went out the window with the retirement of Hughes
Levey seems to be the number 1 jockey these days but he wouldn’t be a patch jockey wise on Hughes imo

It was not meant to be tonight or perhaps they were just golden days when everything fell right.

Was this when Hannon Snr. was still The Man?

Do you still follow both the Hannon and Hughs yards Nathan?

Bill, I tend to only really focus on the higher grade stuff and 2 y/o’s these days
The last few years have been betting more on football, my team finally won the league…. :yahoo:
So I guess I’m saying I do look out for those yards and hope they do well but don’t follow it as religiously as I use to.
I can remember winning a competition on here where I went with a system of Hannon/Hughes it was at Goodwood
