    Bets on Ballycullen Boy and Tasman went west but the each way on Church Island saved the day. What a grand horse he is when he gets out in front.

    If Kerryhead Windfarm could jump there’d have been a decent pot in him at some stage.

    There is no mention of Washington Lad so far, which is good news.

    I used my attheraces Internet account for a change, so I saw the race on a very small screen. All I could see of the fall was that it was in the middle of the pack.

    Immediate reaction when WL got to his feet was that it didn’t look too good, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve taken the wrong impression. Hope he’s OK because he’s another bold front runner and they’re the ones I always find myself liking.
