14353 41 King Of Redfield(116) (JJHanlon) – 8,13September 4, 2011 at 23:02 #369980I always try to keep on the right side of the local trainers at this meeting – Byrnes, Cooper, McNamara, Hourigan, Glynn.
My initial fancy isn’t trained loacally but I’ve always thought that Lenabane had a decent contest in him. He’s beautifully bred (half-brother to Moscow Flyer) and he ran well at Galway when just touched off by Ballyholland. I think the flatter track down in the Kingdom might suit him a bit better.
September 5, 2011 at 12:45 #370028I’ve followed Lenabane since he finished 4th to Pandorama, Weapon’s Amnesty and Catch Me, finishing ahead of China Rock, in what was one of the best novice chases of the 2009/2010 season. He then went on to run good races behind Citizen Vic and Burton Port.
He disappointed me when he was well beaten at Wexford but his latest two runs have shown signs of the old spark!
A stamina test on good ground should suit him perfectly being by Luso.
September 6, 2011 at 21:45 #370275Muirhead seems well-weighted.
September 6, 2011 at 22:38 #370281Ladbrokes have a market on the race. Blazing Tempo and Bideford Legend joint 7/1 favs.
September 6, 2011 at 23:04 #370284Could see Blazing Tempo winning this.
Just starting to find her feet
September 11, 2011 at 16:04 #370738I fancy

September 13, 2011 at 14:15 #370850Ballyholland was, I believe, at least joint ante-post favourite for the Grand National at one time, and connections are talking up his chances in the Sporting Life. 16s at the moment.
September 13, 2011 at 20:26 #370877Lenabane 14/1
had to be him, had crossed all the others off

September 13, 2011 at 21:37 #370887Nice one BB, first time I think I’ve ever agreed with your selection.
September 13, 2011 at 21:48 #370889Add me to the Lenebane fan club i think he win to.
September 13, 2011 at 21:54 #370891I’m leaning towards Muirhead at the minute, was close to very top class over hurdles, only had a handful of runs over fences, handles any ground and has the genius that is Paul Carberry on board who’ll ensure the horse is given the best possible chance of staying the trip !
September 14, 2011 at 01:29 #370910My slow self only realised Adams Island had gone to Nolans at the end of last month today, adore that horse, adore Nolan. Selection sorted.
not usually this vague about selections haha
September 14, 2011 at 08:47 #3709177lb claimer as well. Interesting race with a few horses liking the course but unlikely to stay. Having said that, a couple of them are getting older and their stamina might be improving.Realised Glenstal Abbey is now in the race; may have an ew on him.
September 14, 2011 at 15:44 #370933I see no one picked the winner. And I thought the was some top class tipsters on here. At least I picked runner up.
September 14, 2011 at 16:48 #3709423rd at 14s, none too shabby from a few of us
winner up 11lbs and on the wrong ground
gotta love irish racingSeptember 14, 2011 at 17:53 #3709533rd at 14s, none too shabby from a few of us

gotta love irish racingI’ve ruled Alfa Beat out of the Grand National next April because I’ve seen reports he doesn’t like Aintree. Based on todays race should I need to reevaluate my assessment on him?
