Entries…………
https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/36/newbury/2025-03-01/887214
The two obvious ones for me are Iroko and Meetingofthewaters, but can’t bring myself to back them. Iroko has other entries, and even at 8’s, Meetingofthewaters looks very risky.
Midnight River I’m convinced wins a big prize this year, and I’m itching to take the 25’s, but I just wonder if this will be a pipe opener for The Plate at Cheltenham
One I have bet early is Booster Bob. Just a small interest as he holds other entries, but I’m sure this horse is better than he’s shown, and worth a small go at 33’s
Booster Bob 33’s EW4Pls
February 28, 2025 at 14:06 #1721461Iroko ew 5 places nrnb
February 28, 2025 at 15:33 #1721468No offence intended Mike, but I hope you get your money back on that one as we’ll be a bit short of runners in the Premier Chase if Iroko doesn’t pitch up at Kelso!
Likely to 15 runners here which may stuff up on the day each-ways but given the current market I’ll go for Tedley 20/1 e/1 1/5 odds 5pl. Has run some decent races without winning while others in this field are going up in the weights, hence he’s top on my figures. Has a sound enough record around this trip, has run well here and handles the soft ground.
February 28, 2025 at 18:04 #1721476Iroko – here or Kelso?
Surely the decision will be made this eve.
If it’s defo Kelso then it’ll really mess with the odds on this race. Any early bet this eve, on this race, would be subject to a hefty deduction tomorrow, if Iroko runs at Kelso.February 28, 2025 at 19:30 #1721480Admit a bias here for obvious reasons, but Iroko’s first choice engagement is Kelso so he should run there.
February 28, 2025 at 19:40 #1721481Plumped for Kandoo Kid at 8s.
I’m fully expecting a hefty deduction though, with Iroko likely off to Kelso.
Still cant work out, with the travel involved, how they leave the decision so late
Had to place bets this eve as my hernia op is at 9 in the morning

Best of luck to all, for the Saturday races
March 1, 2025 at 10:04 #1721524Paint The Dream last form figures are 877, but he really is a Newbury specialist. On this mark I must give him a chance. Hopefully he can be like Zanza around here. Also a saver on Le Milos who won very easily last time.
Paint The Dream 18/1
Les Milos 10/1March 1, 2025 at 12:05 #1721556Bit worried about the trip, but Kandoo Kid for me at 10s
March 1, 2025 at 12:31 #1721562Scarface 10s.

Great tipping, as always, VTC.
I think you owe Sean Bowen a beer after that, though!March 1, 2025 at 17:32 #1721631Congrats for what has been a great day of tipping for you, Bobby. I’m glad to have followed you and backed Moroder at SP ew.
