Damika also. I’ve replaced Shifting Star with him.
Fingers crossed!
August 14, 2010 at 07:56 #3126937/1 seems a bit short.
Now 7/2, or sumfink.Opted for Hitchens. There is insufficient evidence that it won’t run well on easy ground.
edit: Remember chaps and chappesses: a couple of these also have engagements in the first race at York on Tuesday, the WTF distance is that? H’cap.
August 14, 2010 at 09:44 #312706When theres early withdrawals they move the higher stalls closer to the 1 stall don’t they?
Isn’t Tajneed 3 stalls closer to the near side now?
August 14, 2010 at 09:58 #312710Okay, redone the draw analysis for 16-17 runners, 6f h’caps at Ripon since 2005.
Same story.
8 races.
Winners from stalls 9, 10, 10, 11, 12 ,13, 14 and 16.
edit. Yes. The stalls are officially on the Stands’ side (LOW), so that is the direction that the stall numbers will be shuffled.
August 14, 2010 at 14:36 #312741Damika came from 15, which rather fills in the gap in the above post.
Carvills is back!

Well done those who backed Damika
August 14, 2010 at 15:13 #312748I’m taken a wee liking to Damika out of stall 15. Goes on the ground, course and distance winner and trainer is doing ok just now.
It also beat Tajneed 6 lengths at Hamilton on G/S earlier this year and look at that horse price now compared to the 16/1 for Damika.
Any thoughts?Word perfect there Kevcal,i like your style,Carvills post wasn"t bad either! Well done.Yet again TRF nails the big races and those that read the form book have done well at the price of Damika compared to the price of Tajneed!
August 14, 2010 at 18:09 #312774Cheers!!
Had Damika on single (£3) then doubled it it up (£2win, £2 e/w double) with Sir George.
Happy days!

Wife is away out tonight to spend winnings while i’m in with kids!I learnt many years ago that when the Missus asks you how much you have won,you divide it by 10 then half it!
I always treat her to a bottle of Bolly and an outfit from Monsoon though! Love eh!
August 14, 2010 at 20:34 #312795Only bet small stakes, so when a decent win comes along – £100+ I don’t mind sharing. Usually take a couple of quid off the top for my next donation to Ladbrokes!
She’s away out happy that 1. I returned home from the pub (and not too drunk!) and 2. with a wee wedge in my hip pocket!
As I say, happy days all round!
August 15, 2010 at 20:06 #312954Well done to all the Damika backers, that’s really well thought out.
I have followed him for ages & think he’s always been campaigned really honestly & deserves this. It was the soft ground (& the draw, & probably the 3lb claim) that did it for him on Saturday.
Don’t think about about backing him off OR 100+ on good to firm ground next time though!
