Fantastic new idea from Love The Races. These are SURE to become collector’s items in the future I expect. Looks great, well done to the person who came up with the idea.Detail below from Love The Races themselves.
[i:3w1p6h3u]Remember those picture card games you played as a kid? Well, Lovetheraces.com has created a new limited edition Love the Horses Collectacard Game, featuring all of the best Jump racehorses of the season. From Kauto Star to Long Run, Big Buck’s to Grand Crus, this pack features all of the top horses you know and love, as well as a few rising equine stars.
If you love racing, then you’ll love this collectacard game and, with the Cheltenham Festival and John Smith’s Grand National just around the corner, what better way to get in the mood than a game of Love the Horses Collectacards? It’s a great game for kids of all ages!
These full colour picture cards feature a short profile of each racehorse, with categories including their rating, how many times they have run and won, total prize money winnings and the number of different racecourses the horse has raced at, as well as the distance the horse competes over.
To play, select a category and whichever player has the card with highest number in that category wins the hand. The aim of the game is to collect all of the cards. So why not play your mates or the kids and learn more about some of the top Jump racehorses in the process?
The Love the Horses Collectacard Game costs just £4.00 per pack, including postage, visit http://www.lovetheraces.com/love-the-horses to find out more and buy your pack. [/i:3w1p6h3u]
January 13, 2012 at 14:42 #386742That brings back fond memories of playing Top Trumps in the playground
January 13, 2012 at 15:08 #386747Imagine how good it’ll be to play Top Trumps with Racehorses!
January 13, 2012 at 15:23 #386750January 13, 2012 at 15:42 #386752The Kinney Bros cards are notoriously difficult to find and finding a set of either the English or American subjects a pipedream. However, as with most Racehorse Tobacco/Cigarette cards the plain white background does rather detract from their appearance. For choice I would go with the 1907 "Famous Racehorses" set issued by Ogdens.
January 13, 2012 at 21:45 #386782Not a totally new concept Corm – they produced a set for the last flat season but they did not seem to be as well publicised.
Then again you would expect a jumping set to be more popular

OMG! as I believe the young folk would say. Reads like spiel from Del Boy trying to knock-out knock-off from a suitcase on a shady street corner
If you really have to litter this place with advertising couldn’t you just have supplied the link?
Gushing advertorial fools no one
Incidentally "SURE to become" and "I expect" is oxymoronic
January 14, 2012 at 08:57 #386814May be Corm was a Top Trumps addict Drone, got over excited!
Still got my set somewhere.
Ahh, when I were a laad things were much betta you.
I likes t’ see the old days back.Value Is EverythingJanuary 14, 2012 at 09:22 #386818Most childhood memorabilia has been disposed of – even my Puffin Club gold founders badge – but my treasured and complete collection of Brooke Bond Tea Cards from ‘Freshwater Fishes’ circa 1960 to ‘The Race Into Space’ circa 1970 will be with me for at least Ten More Years
Ten Years After? – Undead
January 14, 2012 at 16:43 #386873You’re advert-paranoid Drone. I saw this on an email I was sent cos I’m signed up to Love The Races and thought it looked a GREAT idea. Really great. Buy it now. No…..NOW! I expect that you are sure to.
January 14, 2012 at 21:10 #386904Love it – I’ve don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that I think racing should have more merchandising products.
And if I have mentioned it, it can’t have been more than four or five… hundred times.
January 15, 2012 at 20:38 #386999Drone – sorry about piqued response.
We could do advertorials every day if we wanted to make a quick buck, but we avoid them. So I was disappointed and (disproportionately) fed up that one of our regulars should accuse us of crass profiteering.
AND I get fed up a) when people criticise others of grammatical errors and b) especially when it’s me that’s made them!
Sorry, I know there is no malice behind your remarks.

Miserable G*t
January 18, 2012 at 16:09 #387275Thanks for the heads up Corm – I’ve now just bought some for my daughter’s birthday. She loves Top Trumps and I will enjoy playing this set more with her than "Ponies" or (whispers) "High School Musical" !
