Sporting Life reports that Great Endeavour has suffered a fatal injury whilst in his field on his summer holidays. RIP Lad :(

A very likeable horse and a sad loss for the sport.

    Very sad news.

Guess AnimalAid will be pressing for horses not to be allowed out in a field soon.

    RIP, Great Endeavour.

Just home to this awful news – I have a soft spot for greys anyway but he was one of my favourites for his performances as well … how awful for whoever found him in his field with a broken leg – hope he wasn’t in pain for too long. RIP lovely lad.

PS I think the Racing Post could have found a nicer photo of him flying a fence rather than the one they have used …

Good point Ten Plus – but at least he’s clear of the field and storming to victory in that picture.

I really liked Great Endeavour and thought he could yet improve to win a major non-handicap as he continued to mature.

    RIP
