Not in a mad rush here to have an Antepost, and as much as I’ll be following Jonnywho again this year, he’s short enough right now.
Three Card Brag and Riaan are two that always catch the eye. Three Card Brag is a horse I always give a shout to, but rarely bet, while Riaan, although not one I’ve lost much on, he’s seen a few losing bets of mine go his way. Again, wouldn’t be in a rush to back his Antepost for this, with so many options for the pair of them.
The Skelton pair of Le Milos and Jet Plane
look more realistic at this time, and both 20’s plus. Le Milo’s is unreliable, but well weighted on his best, while Jet Plane ran well round here in AprilAnother yard represented by a pair I like is the Bowen yard, who’re responsible for Courtland and Art of Diplomacy. Both look too big to me right now.
There are another three at the bottom of the market who stand out.
If Not For Dylan and Seddon I could both make a case for at 50’s, but right down at 66’s is the one I find most interesting, Dreal Deal.
He’s got enough miles on the clock, and probably enough exposed, but he’s been running well enough lately, and he caught my eye at Killarney, as well as in The Topham. I’d be quite happy to have an interest just now, I think he’s the wrong price, but I’m just very of the number of times that Rothwell enters one over here, but doesn’t send them
No bet right now, but Dreal Deal my main fancy, just ahead, probably of Courtland
Dreal Deal
October 21, 2025 at 01:38 #1742672If you watch the national Three card brag jumped like a stag until his stamina have way , expect him to run a huge race if he turns up
October 21, 2025 at 15:39 #1742697Agree with Three card Brag HDLG

October 25, 2025 at 14:18 #1742977I agree with Three Card Brag, but I’m not for waiting, I’ll just bet him just now at 14-1
October 25, 2025 at 21:35 #1743037I’ll be surprised if Brag doesn’t go off fav for this. I’ll be tickling him to race day
October 25, 2025 at 22:41 #1743044Will they give Three Card Brag a 3rd run in 6 weeks in this or will they give him a breather? Owner wants to go back for the National.

November 4, 2025 at 00:36 #1743782Backed Our Power as well at 14/1 WIN only.
November 4, 2025 at 10:51 #1743813I’ve bet Mahons Glory 25-1 ew, and if Riaan comes over, then I will add him too
November 4, 2025 at 21:55 #1743886Dreal Deal stands his ground, and itching to take the 50’s, but has an entry on Sunday, so it’ll be after Final Decs hopefully
November 7, 2025 at 11:41 #1743987Nice big field!
My initial fancy was White Rhino, but I wasn’t expecting him to become 5/1 joint favourite! I reckon he’s a little bit better than a 141 rating, and he could actually become one for the National itself. He won’t be my main bet now, but I won’t be able to resist a saver on him.
By contrast I wasn’t expecting King Turgeon to be as big as 5/1! He was very impressive this time last year and looked like he was improving all the time before the wheels came off. I think the Becher being called off scuppered his season a little bit. He might end up being my main bet.
Top two in the market isn’t very imaginative, and I really don’t want to have three, however I quite fancied Colonel Harry for the Old Roan, but they’ve come straight here instead. Henry’s Friend still keeps me up at night after last week, so I have to have a small go.
November 7, 2025 at 12:41 #1743990King Turgeon 13-2 ew 5 places
November 7, 2025 at 17:43 #1744004Was going to sit this out completely after Dreal Deal didn’t go, but it’s over the National Fences, so I’ve had a late change of heart.
Been banging on about Johnnywho for two seasons, now so will have to cover him, for all he’s likely to be one for March/April. A target horse of theirs and clearly has a decent pot in him. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if a repeat bid for The Kim Muir was in the cards
Seddon has been frustrating for me in the past, but just can’t ignore him, and I think he’s a mad price
Johnnywho 17-2
Seddon EW6Pls/40’sNovember 7, 2025 at 20:49 #1744039Gutted no Three card brag , like Bobby I reckon there’s a good pot in Jonnywho , this doesn’t look a string renewal so I’d be disappointed if he doesn’t go close
November 8, 2025 at 09:23 #1744067Johnnywho for me as well. I also want to give Blue d’Enfer a chance for new connections. Won last time and the runner up has won twice since.
Johnnywho 13/2
Blue d’Enfer 33/1 EWNovember 8, 2025 at 09:47 #1744072Jet Plane for me too, considering his good run over the fences in spring.
