Who cares whether Presentings stay 4m, when they keep on racking up G1s. Another one via Weapon’s Amnesty.
March 18, 2010 at 08:04 #283521In the Kim Muir today – Is he pricewise as price is shortening early doors
March 18, 2010 at 09:06 #283532Not sure about Pricewise but Hugh Taylor has put him up on the ATR site.
March 19, 2010 at 17:45 #283988I don’t think there’s much thought anymore. Mon Mome has to go off favorite now.

I think you`re right peter his form this season is as good as it gets from a previous years national winner.
Wouldn`t be surprised to see him make it a second win.

10 isn’t old for a National winner. 12 of the last 20 winners were 10 or older. Esha Ness was also 10 when he was first past the post…
His weight might be a bit of a concern; but his age is not a problem in my view.
March 20, 2010 at 14:33 #284280State of Play is 12lb better off with Mon Mome and he’d have been closer last year but for a mistake or two. 25 on BF seems a tad generous.
March 20, 2010 at 15:32 #284300at the moment im still with state of play
a few national entries didn’t finish in todays midlands national at uttoxeter those being iris de balme and la beau bai
March 20, 2010 at 17:54 #284340I think I’m now going to back everything that NTD runs, be it non stayers
geriatrics [Hello Bud, Ollie] and, no word that’s printable
….in the words of the master, ‘if you throw enough s**t at a wall some of it will stick’. You wouldn’t hear PN say that, now….

There is something niggling me in the back of my head about Beat the Boys if he were to run in the national ,could just be a flea though i suppose
March 20, 2010 at 20:52 #284402could it be that he’s , errr…..grey???
March 20, 2010 at 21:01 #284406oohhh is he a grey then? thats him off my list, also with character building also being a grey
March 21, 2010 at 01:06 #284531Would not back Knowhere (almost) any price. Always had some jumping problems, now it is worse than ever. I ask the question: Should he be allowed to run, for his own, his rider and rivals safety?
Prescient.
One of those occasions you hate to be right.
Am sure it won’t stop Twister running something that is just plain wrong.
Value Is EverythingMarch 21, 2010 at 02:08 #284544could it be that he’s , errr…..grey???
[/size:ugalvylz] What difference does the fact that he’s a grey make. The has been two previous greys win before The Lamb (dual winner) and Nicholas Silver. Maybe it could be time for grey number three. After all the as been a few greys close like Suny Bay and What’s Up Boys.
March 21, 2010 at 07:16 #284553One thing that worried me about Beat The Boys in the William Hill was that he ran 5 wide with no cover, as if the jockey was given instructions to do so, so that the horse could get a good view of the fences. If the horse doesn’t like to be in the melee it doesn’t bode well.

It was a play on the name darwengray…
And there have been plenty of bad jumpers in the National that are no way near as classy as Knowhere. I am convinced he can not only complete the course; but he can run a big race too.
