Following the BHA investigation into his involvement in the Powell yard, he has today indicated that he still intends to pursue his application for a trainers licence.
Should he be allowed one ?
Your thoughts.December 9, 2014 at 19:34 #497994No never trusted him as a rider and have the same doubts as a trainer
December 9, 2014 at 19:38 #497995Taken from Sky Sports website
"The panel found that Bradley was not operating autonomously as a trainer, despite the fact that Bradley was charging the owners directly for training fees and raceday expenses, taking a split of Powell’s prize-money, employing staff to care for the horses, operating with a separate feed and tack room and using a different vet to Powell.
"The panel noted that there is no definition within the rules of what constitutes ‘training’.
The BHA said that it was a close run thing to find them (Powell and Bradley,) not guilty. How?
December 9, 2014 at 19:54 #497996‘Brad’ was the ultimate stylist in the saddle,as good a Jockey as anyone, his rides on

will never be forgotten,he was also the ultimate Horseman too, only he could come off a horse and make it look as though he’d fallen, mostly his Fathers but occassionaly one of the Dickensons. If Brad became a Trainer he could run one in the Gold cup with form figures like…P00FP00PFU2 and win the Bloody race.
December 9, 2014 at 20:03 #497997Brad would make Barney Curley look as up front as Mark Johnston

Gambling Only Pays When You're Winning
December 9, 2014 at 20:23 #497998I don’t think people like him have any place in horse racing.
If you want to make the game cleaner then you cannot grant him a licence to train. It would be a travesty
And whilst we are at it they should also ban Powell for his part in it.December 9, 2014 at 20:47 #498001‘If Brad became a Trainer he could run one in the Gold cup with form figures like…P00FP00PFU2 and win the Bloody race.

In all seriousness, I once backed a horse whose form figures read POOF. It was only a couple of quid for a bit of a lark and he never got a mention.
Opening the Racing Post at the results pages the following day the race report for the horse in question simply read
"Always in rear"
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
December 9, 2014 at 20:50 #498002Just No
Should be banned for life in my view

Nice handling Steve, that’s given me a chuckle, which is quite an achievement. Hahaha .
December 11, 2014 at 21:22 #498158Great funny Steve.
This is a game which lets all sorts of bandits and rogues try and make a living, so not sure why it’s always Brad who gets picked on – let’s have some consistency. I grew up watching Dickinson horses and Brad was a proper horseman – his record stands for itself, and they weren’t all hotpots either.
It’s just another random factor to be taken into account. He won’t be the only one sailing close to the wind.
