WALDKONIG at 3’s with Hills for me especially after getting a recent run under his belt lately
plenty of contenders for thisGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 20, 2021 at 21:48 #1537324Id be interested in Al Zaraqaan if he was to turn up
Looks very progressive easily brushing aside Almighwar in his last race who franked that form at the weekend
A half brother to Awtaad by Golden Horn no reason to think hes done improving
April 21, 2021 at 20:26 #1537405Not the most imaginative choice, but Waldkonig looked a Group horse in waiting at Pontefract and the form has been franked by the third.
April 21, 2021 at 21:00 #1537409Couldn’t bet the race at all, but Hukum is no mug and has good record fresh. Will watch it just.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!April 22, 2021 at 10:44 #1537448Waldkonig has been a fairly dissapointing horse so far given his breeding and happy to take him on at the prices
Hukum has the best form in the book, albeit over further, and is my bet at the prices
Hukum 4/1
April 22, 2021 at 22:22 #1537547Highest Ground for me 2/1
Was a big fan last year , needs decent ground and got high hopes for him this season
April 22, 2021 at 23:28 #1537557Can’t find a bet in this race not sure why highest ground is so short?
Most look like they want give underfoot to show their best. Not much pace on? Extra elusive has took on the running before and could suprise. A definite No bet for me. The older boy desert encounter interests me back on good ground. Call me crazy but he’d be my bet at 50/1 or bigger I don’t think the 4 year olds in this are up to much. Definitely wouldn’t be taking the field on at short odds on any of themApril 23, 2021 at 14:32 #1537591Was expecting crowley to be very prominent on hukum
Instead he holds him up and tries to ride him for a turn of foot
He travelled well but didn’t have the speed to go with them in what was a slowly run race.
Winner did it well in the end
Not entirely sure it was a very strong race.
April 23, 2021 at 16:42 #1537610Final furlong that’s the problem we can only assume the horse will be ran how it normally has before and hukum is clearly best suited to being held up. As I said these 4 year olds weren’t upto much and desert encounter although slow away and held up in a steady race ran on for second at over 50/1 I was literally going to say Waldkonig is now the best bet when he hit 5.20 on betfair before shortening up but I missed it.
