    Kyprios
    Stradivarius
    Trueshan
    Coltrane
    Princess zoe

All left in at this stage

I like Coltrane personally at the prices

Trueshan surely won’t run as there isn’t enough rain forecast to get it soft enough

Coltrane just keeps improving and was extremely impressive last time

I don’t think strad and kyprios set a standard thar is particularly high and at 8/1 Coltrane is the bet

I actually think he could’ve been rated a little higher than 111 for his 10 length romp in the listed race and he showed plenty of pace that day clocking some quick sectionals for a stayer

The racing TV sectionals have him clocking 11.36 and 11.39 in furlongs 13 and 14

This could easily be a group 1 horse

Kyprios won the Gold Cup despite not giving the jockey the same feel as before, so anywhere near his old self this time i expect him to win again.

Trueshan being aimed at this? Cant be bothered looking, he cant be though surely 5/1? Race revolves around him, the best of these by a distance

    Ham- he’s 11-2 in places.

As you say, he’s the best horse in the division but he’s highly unlikely to get his ground next week. I’d be very surprised if he runs.

I’m another who liked it was a 2m5f race, and they started in front of the stands….I’m sure Mazzacano beat Sadeem in 1989, for a Guy Harwood 1-2, getting weight.

Preferred this race on a Thursday.

Don’t see replacing Frankie on Stradivarius increases his chances of winning but the owner obviously wanted to punish Frankie for the last 2 Gold Cups.

How many remember Sadeem won 2 Gold Cups? Don’t really recall Mazzacano but Starkey must have messed it up to be beaten by him. He had a few cock ups later in his career.

“How many remember Sadeem won 2 Gold Cups?”

I do. I also remember that the first was awarded to him after a total joke of a disqualification for Royal Gait.

Bjorn neilsons behaviour has been a disgrace. Seems to think jockeys are robots and shouldnt make mistakes. Embarassing hes still saying he should have won at ascot and also on champions day. Well never know but i dont think he woud have passed kyprios.I suspect frankie told him the horse didnt have the acceleration he used to have and he didnt like hearing that. Kyprios looks the most likely winner to me but love coltrane and woould be pleased if he won.

Ground officially Good with a few patches of good/ firm. Clerk of the course is just finishing off watering putting another 8 mm’s of water down.

Coltrane catches the eye with recent form and odds

If race lives up to its name what a race it could be
Trueshan so far confirmed to run with the ground described as good

If Trueshan runs, he wins. Still think they’ll withdraw him, though.

I think anybody wanting to have a bet probably needs to wait and see what happens with Trueshan, he’s pushing for favouritism as I type and with it comes the big rule 4 if he comes out. He should drift out if its good-firm in the morning and he will on Betfair exchange probably but the bookies are naughty and they’ll probably hold his price to get a bigger rule 4. It could end up being a proper race if Trueshan stays in, there’d be 4 Group 1 winners in there, don’t forget Princess Zoe!

She has to be forgiven last run, and certainly not the most consistent, but Princess Zoe very good on her day. Very appealing EW around 22’s, but I’ll wait and see if the R4 kicks in

    Me too Kris.
Stradivarius Each way, especially without Frankie on board (if Frankie Can’t win he barely pushes them out).
