July 31, 2010 at 20:35 #310272Thanks for running and organising this, Adam. The prizes on TRF are always so exciting!
Well done
WelshWizard
on some very consistent tipping and
Burrough Hill Lad
for that storming late run today. I’m just glad to cling onto third! I don’t know why I kept resisting the Hannon two-year-olds!
July 31, 2010 at 21:36 #310290Thanks for this comp Adam it’s been good fun. Well done the three winners and enjoy your prize. My better half is delighted I finished outside the top 3 as apparently I spend too much time on the computer anyway.
Blackbeard to conquer the World
July 31, 2010 at 22:13 #310307Thanks to the organisers … great fun for the last few days … my ew strategy eventually paid off even though I never had a penny today on Roxy Flyer or Evens and Odds … thanks to Pricewise for taking all the value on Evens and Odds (14’s when I walked into Ladbrokes this morning) … any chance of a York Festival comp in a couple of weeks time, Corm ?
August 1, 2010 at 12:45 #310382Echoing everyone else’s thanks to Adam, it’s always fun to compete against others
Congrats to Welsh Wizard and the placed horsesAugust 1, 2010 at 14:02 #310391Thanks Adam for running the competiton, very much appreciated.
Enjoy the game Young Fella & Burrough Hill Lad.
August 3, 2010 at 11:08 #310706Cheers everyone. Thanks also to Mark Loveday for being so generous.
It’s a great bit of fun, and very reasonably priced (no, I’m not on commission). But very addicted so yeah Nathan, your other half is probably right to be relieved.
For those of you that won, already have the game, or fancy purchasing it, check out the forum on the Strategic Designs/Starters Orders 4 site for some tips. There are also a number of ‘packs’ that those forum users have created to give a more realistic feel to the game – a better race program, actual horse pictures and so on. They’re all very friendly so feel free to ask them to email you the folders, then you can just drop them into the mechanics of the game and you’re away.
Thanks again to everyone who entered and we’ll try and get something going for York. If anyone has any ideas as to comp ideas with a bit of a difference I’m all ears.
