Caveat emptor. Dry your eyes Katy, more fool you to train a horse with that history without getting a hair sample run off your own bat, I’d have made it a condition of the 5 stage vetting .
As soon as I saw the horse was not running due to a prohibited substance I thought, given the time frame that’ll be a hair sample and probably anabolic steroids.
She has a point about the timing though, I know hair samples take time and half the lab bods are probably on holiday but could the IHRB not have marked that one as urgent considering the horse had a hurdle mark (surprise!!) that might see it sneak into Ireland’s richest hurdle race. Well maybe they did and that is just how long hair samples take…but if not, and it could have been sorted before the entries came out, then somebody has really dropped the ball.

…Almost as if she thinks if creating a fuss then none of her horses will be tested in the future because it’ll look like victimisation. She knew the rules.
Don’t blame the authorities, blame the old owner / trainer.Value Is Everything - AuthorPosts
