Good evening all, as always in particular to my fellow Tiltleist companions, Swallow Cottage, Mikkymo and after an appearance last week hope to here more from David Brady.

Firstly hat’s off to SC a fine Exacta last week although for me it was one of those occasion’s that it was a shame they do not operate a HT/FT as they do in football :), that aside did manage to put a few coffers towards the Xmas festivities which before we know it will be upon us courtesy of Paula Creamer and a tidy E/W return via Kevin Stadler, keep plugging away Mikky i’m sure something will come your way, as i said last week the wheels i’m sure will come off at somepoint, of course hoping they don’t. :)

That said moving on to this weeks fare and will begin with the Ladies and the ADT Championship.

Well what do we make of this 11/4 generally Lorena almost back to being backable, 7’s Paula very unlikely to bolt up like that again for some time, but could not help but be impressed with that so will have to do again.

Will be passing Annika up this week, seemed a bit one paced last week and what’s more 3 points less to boot although evey chance of course.

Had thought about Laura Davies who seems to be enjoying a renaissance at the moment, but could not build on a good start the other week so for that passed over.

The back up to Paula will come from the Angela’s, Park and Stanford respectively.

Next to the USB Hong Kong Open, 16’s the field generally, will have to start with Mike Weir here purely as he was a winner for yours truly a couple of weeks back.

Thought Simon Dyson aquitted himself well at Valderamma and if ok after a refresher will carry my 2nd selection here.

Can’t have Trevor Immelman after last week, sorry about that one SC.

After a lot of tooing and frowing have decided to lumber Anders Hansen with my bronze medal although my longshot of the week Oliver Fisher may have a say somewhere yet.

Finally to the Dunlop Phoenix, Pod at 5’s will have to put him in a silly double with Lorena just to show willing.

For me here step forward Tim Clark, Henrik Stenson and Johan Edfors, all 3 seem to be in reasonable knick at present.

That’s all for now but as alway’s whatever your picks be lucky.

Well done again wakeman last week with Creamer and Stadler. You’re certainly on a good run at the moment and I hope it continues this week in Japan :)

I am going to have my first bet ever on the Ladies golf. In the ADT Championship, I am going for an each way bet on Annika Sorenstam at 10/1 as I reckon she should finish in the top four ( which will mean that she will finish 5th ). I am hoping for beginner’s luck – I’ll need it.

The Hong Kong tournament is a lot more competitive and it’s unlikely that I’ll back 2 consecutive winners on the Euro tour. Choi has been disappointing recently and Weir does not win that often but this course will suit him. My first vote goes to Robert Karlsson who has shown improved form in his last 2 tournaments. I am also hoping for an improved display from Andres Romero who could go close if reproducing his good putting. Peter Hanson has been very consistent this year without winning but I’m backing him to win this. Best of the others may be Thongchai Jaidee ( I can write his name but not pronounce it ) who finished 3rd last year and I have bet on him at odds of about 65/1.

The Dunlop tournament in Japan is quite interesting but not live on television here. Harrington won this last year and could go close but 6/1 is too short for me. Luke Donald seems to have lost the plot and Stenson has not recaptured his early year form – he did play a bit better last time out but I’m unsure whether this course is right for him. I never back Poulter and I don’t know much about the asian players so my only bet is going on Tim Clark who finished a decent runner up last time and I reckon this neat par 70 course will suit his style of play. Just hope he does not have any more problems with his neck which has been troubling him a lot this year – maybe a Geisha will massage it for him

    Good luck.

Do Betfair put a market up for the Ladies tournament?

BF don’t often put up markets for the ladies golf tournaments as there is not enough liquidity in them. They did last week because the uspga men’s tour has finished for the year so the ladies event was the only golf on television in the evening. They haven’t put a market up yet for this week’s ADT Championship but I’m still hoping they will.

    Hi all,

Well done on another terrific week last week, some great tipping going on (present company not included  )

SC, I did get paid out on Lee Westwood for top European, but it was dead heat rules, so I was effectively on a 4/1 winner – which meant I didn’t win on the week, but I didn’t lose either :D

So to this weeks events and first of all to the ladies, it’s only polite you know. I must admit, it was very good viewing watching Paula win last week, and the golf wasn’t too bad either  .

There is no betting at Betfair, but there are plenty of online bookies pricing this event up. Considering Ochoa was around 6/4 last week in the same company, I’m amazed that she is 7/2 this week (VC Bet) and I will be having a sizeable bet on her. My other selection here is Sophie Gustafson. She hasn’t managed to win this year but she has played consistently and has had 5 or 6 top 10 finishes. A speculative each way bet at 33/1 is the way to go.

Now to the Hong Kong Open which brings together another truly international field and a wide open betting market. He is the favourite, but I must back K J Choi at 16/1 in this event. He tied 2nd here a few years back and is without doubt a much better player now having established himself in some style on the PGA Tour.

Simon Dyson is extremely experienced in this neck of the woods having played, and being very successful, on the Asian Tour 5 or 6 years ago. His game looks in good order and he has another solid each way chance at 28/1 (only 27 with BF).

My final selection is a bit of a long shot, and it is Simon Khan. He played really well in Europe this season, with many top 10 finishes. His form fell away during the last 2 months or so but that was understandable as he seemed to play ever week. Hopefully he is fresh and raring to go this week, and if he can re-produce his form from the summer, then 85 on BF will look very good, especially if he gets a good start and shortens accordingly.

As you know by now, I very rarely bet on the PGA Tour, as I am usually pissed on an evening and can’t see the ball  .

    Good luck everyone.

    Mike

Hi all, a welcome change of luck for Mikky this week, as for myself  and Swallow Cottage we both came up a bit short this week although i’m surprised that Karllsson made such a Faux Pas of it and to be done by Miguel of all people Damn, feel for SC, still we have all had a return now which is good to see, bring on next weeks. :)

    See you all later.

Yes, well done to Micky and I hope the sizeable bet he had on Ochoa was one of his biggest of the year.
I did manage to make a profit in the HK event as I decided to lay my bet off on Karlsson at 2.84 and then again at 1.50. Only won a quarter of the amount I won last week but any profit I make on the golf is welcome.
Unusual for wakeman not to pick a winner but I’m sure it will only be a short time until he is back in the winner’s enclosure and I look forward to reading his preview of next week’s tournaments. I see the Euro tour is in Australia next week………………I know the EU want to expand but this is ridiculous :)
