I’ve done this for some other horses as well, including Sea The Stars, Zarkava and some of the earlier champions like Montjeu and Giants Causeway. Can post them if anyone’s interested.

Although it would be cool to see the 11th – I don’t feel that she has to confirm anything!

Surely she can proudly wear the t-shirt?!? – "Been there & done that!" :o

    Goldikova – The 10 commandments!

She also Miesque with 10 victories in Group I

Goldikova champion set a new record by becoming the only horse to win three times the price Rothschild Sunday 1st August. The protected Freddy Head took the opportunity to join Miesque (then controlled by the same Freddy Head) to winners of horse races with ten victories in Group I. The opportunity to return to the ten major victories this off-trail standards for the representative of the jacket Wertheimer.

Rothschild Prize (Ex Price Astarte), 1600m, Deauville, in August 2008

Goldikova wins her first Group I in the year of its three years. During previous attempts at this level, Zarkava had blocked the road, respectively, in Hen Testing Fillies and the Prix de Diane. The Rothschild Award is his first Group I, in the form of premonition, and Olivier Peslier it is already associated. She then dominates Darjina, the Aga Khan’s filly, a half-length after a sharp struggle. Natagora was also the game.

Prix Moulin at Longchamp, 1600 meters, Longchamp, September 2008

At its next attempt in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp, it opposes both the male and her elders. But that did not stop and it beats again Darjina pushing its assaults to leave again in a half-length in the same manner as the previous month on the Deauville racecourse. Paco Boy, Henrythenavigator or Sageburg this time are the victims of the day. Freddy Head said to her that he has "the best miler in Europe in three years.

Breeders’ Cup Mile, 1600m, Santa Anita, October 2008

To complete his season of 3 years, Goldikova flew to Santa Anita and the Breeders’ Cup Mile to race, facing the Americans. Again, nothing seems to stop and 200 meters from the goal, it puts its famous acceleration and leaves her rivals. The first, the American Kip Deville, fails a quarter lengths. She recorded a time of 1’33’40 barrel ..

Falmouth Stakes, 1600m, Newmarket, July 2009

When she begins her year of 4 years, Goldikova is limping along and ranks seventh in the Prix d’Ispahan. This time it is on land in England, Newmarket, in the Falmouth Stakes. And obviously, her performance dns Award of Isfahan is a fading memory. Spacious Heavent Sent or can not cope with it. Chris Richardson, manager of the team Cheveley Park which owns the two mares, admits: "You can do the race. Our two horses are very good, there is no shame being beaten by Goldikova.

Rothschild Prize (Ex Price Astarte), 1600m, Deauville, in August 2009

Following this new exploit in English soil, Goldkova is committed to attempt the double in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville’s summer meeting. This Sunday, August 2, 2009, the visual impression is again striking. Neck down, projecting powerfully with her hindquarters, it starts to 400 meters. Elusive Wave is the cost, it is the only one to prosecute him. Verdict: a length and a half and 1’35”70 (same time as the previous season). Freddy Head said: "This is an extraordinary mare. She has achieved much in his victory in the Falmouth Stakes, a race which was rather telephoned (sic). Today was a real race!".

Prix Jacques Le Marois, 1600m, Deauville, in August 2009

Goldikova is back two weeks later in the Prix Jacques Le Marois face males. The only difference from her performance two weeks earlier, Goldikova attack much further. The daughter of Anabaa nail her opponents on the spot and needed a great champion. The filly Freddy Head the opportunity to improve the race record by browsing the 1,600 m 1’33 "50 (old record: 1’34”4) without dipping into its reserves.

Breeders’ Cup Mile, 1600m, Santa Anita, November 2009

In November 2009, the daughter of Anabaa remains a defeat in the 1400 meters "slide" Prix de la Foret, compared to the 3-year Varenar and Sweet Hearth (Royer-Dupre). However, it will try to double the bet in the Breeders’ Cup Mile at Santa Anita. This time, the mare answered this for a historic double which had also been the prerogative of Miesque (1987-1988). Once again, the superlatives enough to describe its performance. So Freddy Head coach: "I can not express how I feel! Having been associated with Miesque as a jockey, and now lead a horse like Goldikova is something that is difficult to imagine "It’s a dream!". Goldikova remains in training in 2010. Appears when the prospect of a historic treble in the Breeders’ Cup, played this time at Churchill Downs, Kentucky.

    Prix d’Ispahan, 1850 meters, Longchamp, May 2010

In 2009, Goldikova had not dépêtrée of 1850m at Longchamp, but not in the habit of his entourage to stay on this type of performance-cons. Goldikova makes its comeback on this course. Result, it pulverizes the pack and beat the race record in 1’49”40. Only byword (Fabre / Abdullah) has tried to approach her, Stacelita ends more than fifteen lengths. This is the longest distance that Goldikova wins a Group I, and a race for that matter. It therefore proves that she also has the background, and what background!

Queen Anne Stakes, 1600m, Ascot, June 2010

Already a winner at Newmarket in the summer of 2009, Goldikova returned to England with the same desire to win. The daughter of Anabaa will win his ninth Group I and achieves a feat by being the first mare to win the Queen Anne Stakes for nearly 50 years. This success is not without a scare for fans of champion, Paco Boy regaining significant ground on Goldikova in the final phase. Even so, the protegee of Freddy Head who had to launch her sprint earlier than expected end to resist the return of her toughest opponent and shows once again that this is an exceptional mare .

Rothschild Prize (Ex Price Astarte), 1600m, Deauville, in August 2010

Sunday 1st August 2010, Goldikova landed on the Normandy coast in an attempt to achieve the treble in the Prix Rothschild. Crushing of money to 4 / 10, the representative of the gown Wertheimer triumph without surprise. Goldikova pin and tenth Group I under her belt and joined Miesque in the history of horse racing. Led by its leader Only Green Goldikova goes on the offensive at 400 meters from the pole and destroyed the opposition by winning without forcing his talent with three lengths ahead of Music Show. The champion is applauded by race fans flocked to Deauville and gives them an appointment in a fortnight for the Prix Jacques Le Marois.

Yeah sure I can post Zarkava’s form. I also did Sea The Stars, and numerous other top class horses from recent years such as Montjeu, Yeats, Giants Causeway, Rachel Akexandra and Zenyatta.

Also, I don’t mean to be rude but is English your second language? If so then Goldikova is female and so referred to as ‘she’ and ‘her’ not ‘he’ and ‘him’. Sorry to be so precise!

The wonder mare did it! Goldikova won her ELEVENTH Group 1 in beating a pretty good Prix de la Foret field.

I think it’s time to rescue this thread.

A mare, who has been winning at the highest level for three years, breaks the record for top level european successes and we have one response to this achievement.

    Typical.

Despite tasting defeat twice at the hands of her old rival Zarkava, Goldikova has every right to be regarded as the greatest modern day filly / mare. She has displayed class, courage, longevity and versatility.

Conditions were far from ideal today, but she still beat the boys and a couple of genuine top level performers with plenty in hand. How cheeky was Olivier Peslier?

Despite the Arc taking centre stage, Goldikova was the star attraction at Longchamp this afternoon.

I couldn’t agree more. Yes the Arc was the centrepiece in terms of prestige and money, but the question has to be asked how long before we have another Goldikova on our hands? We had to wait 22 years since Miesque, with nothing coming remotely close in the intervening years.

The coverage in yesterday’s RP summed up how wrong the racing industry is getting the marketing of the sport at present. We had to wait until Page 6 for the review of Goldikova’s staggering achievement. Worse still it wasn’t until Page 18 that Zenyatta’s ground breaking 19th straight win of her unbeaten career was acknowledged.

In my opinion as soon as anybody becomes interested in a sport they very quickly want to know about the history and the context of a horse’s achievement. Whilst Workforce’s win on Sunday was extremely meritorious, becoming only the 6th horse ever to win the Epsom Deby and Arc, it hardly deserved more coverage than the two mares? What if the winner of the Arc had been a lightly raced French animal apparently laid out for the race – say Planteur or Plumania – would Goldi and Zenyatta have been "buried"?

Anybody new to the sport reading the post following their first Arc since becoming a race fan would be forgiven for thinking Goldikova and Zenyatta’s achievements were not actually that good in the scheme of things. At a time when we often hear scribes bemoaning the failure of connections to campaign their top class animals beyond the age of three, we have two equine superstars competing in the same era who ar ebeing almost ignored by the British media – no live coverage all year on BBC/C4/ATR/RUK of any of Zenyatta’s performances.

The suits who run RFC want narratives – what better narrative than the mare who this season the unbeaten records of first Ribot and Ormonde, and then the mighty Eclipse (not to mention Cigar and Citation’s winning sequences). If those names are not enough to quench the thirst of any newbie for historical context then what is? And I haven’t even mentioned Goldikova!

Instead RFC occupy themselves with pointless tampering of the programme book ensuring that comparisons of winning sequences of Group 1 juvenile races since the

    1875

or the relative merits of Champion Stakes winners since

    1877

    becomes impossible.

It is shameful how her achievements are overlooked. Even now her form is being franked in Group and Grade 1 races and yet she receives barely any attention compared to Zenyatta or Sea The Stars or even Canford Cliffs. Maybe it’s because, apart from her Prix Jacques Marois romp, she is not a flashy racehorse, but she is incredibly consistent, talented and tough it’s unbelievable. A really great horse.

Not the strongest race but most of the entries had form over longer distances and Goldikova did very well to hold on. It will have blown the cobwebs away for sure. Let’s hope she has a good a season as last year.
