RTB – GW was just my second winner of the week………..what is even worse is that I have currently racked up 15 individually placed horses.
March 13, 2026 at 17:20 #1759632If ever a horse deserved a nice paddock and a comfy stable it was , his lass was distraught , long way home when that happens
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 13, 2026 at 17:22 #1759633Without my anteposts I’d have had 3 , I’ve had 1 e.w so far today but I’m still in clover

March 14, 2026 at 00:46 #1759788Is Gaelic Warrior the first juvenile hurdler to win the Gold Cup? Commanche Court went close, but can’t recall any others.
Just shows what a spectacular talent he isMarch 15, 2026 at 09:09 #1760033Also forgot to say well done to Ex Ruby Light, I know you were on the beast for a long time ago. Pre/post Durkan?

According to wiki, Golden Miller ran in a hurdle at Southwell as a 3yo. The glamour

A Plus Tard ran over hurdles in France as a juvenile and won a listed handicap there.
Don’t know if The Fellow ran over hurdles before his chasing career or not. He won an AQPS flat race to start with and ran in the Grand Steep at 5, but I don’t know if he had any runs over hurdles at 3/4 in between. I think quite a lot of French horses went straight ove fences (in the years before they ran them over hurdles to sell them to Mullins).
I see Galopin des Champs had one run over hurdles in spring as a 4 year old, but that was in May, same as Long Run.
March 15, 2026 at 16:55 #1760115Thanks Green
March 15, 2026 at 22:12 #1760178No problem Nathan. Following you is following the money and I was on him at 14/1 which was pre John Durkan.
March 17, 2026 at 10:11 #1760285I think The Jukebox Man and, in particular, Jango Baie would have benefitted from a run in between the KG and GC but I doubt either would have beaten Gaelic Warrior in that form
I hope they don’t take the winner to Aintree because it will have been a hard race despite the winning distance
March 17, 2026 at 20:35 #1760347Befair, Kauto Star was a juvenile hurdler in France and won three races.
