You may well be right Nathan , I know we slate Henderson for his caution but maybe the reason both him and Nicholls are so successful is because they can hold there hand and play the long game

I would say Conflated’s run at Leop at DRF will help them decide along with Galvin. If Allaho doesn’t make it to the Ryanair though it would certainly open that race up…a lot.

Jack I’ve been backing the chaser who,s shown the best form this year , you seem to prefer the worst priced fav in years , who,s beaten nothing and chucked away a woeful Turners or a horse who won a very average amateur race at the festival ( look at the 2nd form since ) and has then been beaten by a prob 80% fit Minella Indo , but hey I know nothing , it’s not like a put the KG winner up really early in the thread …. I get you don’t like BMG but his form this year is the strongest ….by a lot

Firstly, when have I said I fancied GDC? I simply disputed the fact he’s not proven to stay, and actually the main rivals apart from one or two have to prove their liking for the course and trip.
Stattler and conflated were the two I mentioned as potential prices I’d be interested in mostly.

I am already on Protektorat and Bravemansgame. Satisfied with that but Noble Yeats keeps nagging away at me. I might add him but not until the day itself.
I cannot have Galopin Des Champs at the price. Unproven at the distance and likely to throw in an iffy jump or two.

Bar LHP and if Envoi Allen had ran his race, i’d question the quality of the field.
LHP fell when beaten, but we know he’s better in different conditions + Envoi Allen ran terribly.
LHP is the one to use to boost his form, but all i’ve read on here is how bad his jumping was? His form last year is decent, but again, is it standout in the context of a GC? Not sure. Good performance in a handicap at Newcastle i guess off a high mark.

That’s not knocking an impressive win my BMG, as i’ve said all along he was impressive. However, formwise, i wouldn’t say it’s miles better than anything else.
I guess that’s the fun with racing opinions- nothing to do with accuracy. The only accuracy problems have been with your eyes and my posts.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!My eyes are fine Jack , it’s all about opinions , your trying to question the form of one the strongest KG in a while , ok your putting up Conflated as a possible bet in this , this is the same Conflated beaten by Envoi Allen in the Ladbrokes Champ chase , the same Envoi Allen who was beaten 50 lengths by BMG in the KG , if it’s a poor KG then why you contemplating that bet ….. or am I inaccurate ?
I don’t want to take sides with anyone because we’re all grown ups and capable of fighting our own battles with opinions.
But you’re having a stinker here Jack. The king George form is the best on offer this season.
On form BMG should be favourite for the race. And if Paul Nicholls is happy to let the horse take its chance in the gold cup when it’s well known he’s happy to bypass the race/festival entirely if he feels the race doesn’t suit his horse then that should assuage some of the fears people weighing up the race from a betting perspective have.
Until the time APT comes out again then BMG has the least question marks above his name.

BMG doesn’t win the GC id still think he won a quality KG , plenty graded winners in itTizz, took Nicholls 2 Gold Cups to decide Clan Des Obeaux didn’t love a GC….He to was pretty impressive around Kempton Park. So i wouldn’t assume anything personally :).
That’s your opinion Tizz, fair enough, i think BMG was impressive but was probably beating a horse in lHP not at his optimum conditions. Then after that he’s beaten a decent horses in behind, but nothing great in the context of a GC. Hey ho, it’s my view.
I’ve said it’s all about opinions HDLG, my eyes comment on you is about your habit of putting words in my mouth, which has happened on numerous occasions….that’s all. Nothing to do with your opinion on a horse race.
If you’re really wanting to use a formline from a seasonal debut and one that Elliot said Conflated would definitely need the run, then fine. I won’t be…..

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!Jack read your own post , you put ” The form of the KG really that good ? ” , that means your questioning it ? , also BMG is BMG not Clan , you really need to stop comparing 2 different horses just because Clan didn’t perform at Cheltenham doesn’t mean BMG won’t , if you want to back Conflated you back him but the formlines this season don’t back him up , that’s why I’ve played him for the Ryanair , not good enough to win a GC but able to win a Ryanair if Allaho doesn’t turn up … as Tizz said your having a stinker …
