I’d already written my winners speach
The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.
Shame for racegoers and connections..Charlie Johnston had a couple of good ones to run.
Also scuppered our competition for an exciting head bobber finish but understand horses and jockey safety must come first..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...I have to agree with you Jac on all fronts. It was coming down the hill and round that bend that was going to be the problem so they had no choice really. It is a shame but hey ho onwards to York next competition and hopefully that one can be as close as this one was going to be.

Thanks very much, it was a real nailbiter in the end and I relied on a second in the Stewards Cup to cling on! Of course I had three nailed on certs in the last three races…
Thanks to Family Raymo for their sterling efforts in running the competition. The lightning updating of results and progress reports takes some beating.
Hard luck to a whole host of competitors who were threatening my position when the meeting came to a premature close.

Hotly contested but congratulations to ROBNORTH on a superb
score. Michael Walsh and Catherine (Tonge), so close guys and a great
effort to finish on the podium Even with all the withdrawls, and eejits like me looking to
replace a horse during the competition, Mr & Mrs R you had
this running like clockwork. Many thanks, it was hugely enjoyable I think I scored 46 points today Raymo as HMS President was a non runner and my Reserve Sweet William 9/4 won.
I know it’s just housekeeping but it was my best score of the whole week and takes me over the 100.
