I’m sorry Ginger but is is the case where Frankel is concerned. The odds of a superstar being turned over against a selling plater being turned over are not the same even if the bookies off the same odds…that’s common sense as you can trust a good horse is more trustworthy than a bad one ….I just feel that to come to the conclusion that opposing the worlds best horse when there are dozens of other races to bet in is not the brightest idea one could have.
I agree top class horses are more consistent Fist, but that is already allowed for in the working out. ie Consistency is allowed for in considering any horse’s chance, whether that is a top class animal or selling plater. I also remind you Fist – Frankel did not run to form on Saturday. Timeform have him running 8 lbs below form. Every horse can run below form, even Frankel. Had it been more than 8lbs…
We’ll have to agree to disagree.

63 points @ 13/8 (PP) So Beloved* (min 6/4)Saw this horse win at Salisbury. Big and powerful, came through to win his maiden going away (1m soft). I’m a little disappointed he’s going for this instead of the Racing Post, so highly do I rate him. Unlike his main rival there are no going concerns and unlike third favourite there’s no stamina issues either.
In a five runner race there’s always a possibility of a slowly run race – something that’s particularly favourable to front runners at this track. Hopefully James Doyle will be alive to the threat. If the pace was guaranteed I’d make So Beloved an odds-on chance, as it is anything above 11/8 is worth taking (imo).Value Is EverythingOctober 23, 2012 at 22:34 #4180703:05 Newmarket

At least I can not be accused of "copying bookmakers" when only one bookmaker is offering prices at the moment Gord. It was a bit of a risk, putting a bet up that early, just thought I needed to take the price because it seemed so big. Can’t imagine So Beloved starting any better, and Paddy Power have already brought the price down to 11/8. Hopefully it won’t go out again!
Value Is EverythingOctober 24, 2012 at 10:50 #418092Sorry lads. I was up late last night on the sauce and i came on and jumped into your argument, but i deleted my post. You can all argue until your punting hearts are content. I quite like reading peoples input at times, and i have issues with absolutely nobody. It’s none of my business. Thanks.
October 24, 2012 at 11:25 #418095I thought it was a good post Superman. The bit about the robber had me in stitches.

Not the first time a young horse with as big a frame as he has ends up all at sea on ground like today.
People tend to forget how weak a 2 year old can be despite their appearance and when they pull as hard as he did today they very seldom get home. There’s a lot to like about him despite today’s result and he’ll be one to follow next year

Arggggh!
Thought with three bookmakers on 14/1 last night and 16/1 available on the exchanges I might get a better price today. So it’ll have to be just a saver.5 points @ 10/1 (b365) Half A person (min 10/1)
