Hi all, and a good evening to my fellow chums Swallow Cottage and MikkyMo.

Well after last week’s near misses plenty of Plaice but alas no Chips, did get a reasonable return on Tim Clark the golfing circus moves on, i do believe that the 2008 European Order Of Merit begins, is it that long since the last one Finished

Will begin this weeks challenge at the HSBC Championship, was not aware that Ernie had food poisoning last week, if the Ruby Murray is tasting better this time around will i’m sure be be there abouts, but in the hope that last weeks events signal an upturn in fortunes Vijay gets my No 1 vote.

Padraig and co i’m sure will be feeling the effects of the battle of Andalucia so for that will be making all those who played there my Bismarcks this week although stating the obvious one will prove me wrong i’m sure.

The supporting cast will be made up of Trevor Immelman and can’t resist a nugget E/W on Kevin Stadler.

Staying in the far east and the Taiheiyo Masters 9/2 Adam Scott will i’m sure tempt his legion of followers but not for me.

Going into bat her are Geoff Ogilvy and my E/W selection of the week Jeev-Milkha Singh, so along with Vijay hopefully it’s a pocket full of dough

Nothing against the rest but nothing else catches the eye.

Finally unless there are other tournaments that i am not aware of the Ladies Tour Of Champions, goes without saying that i will not be entertaining Lorena although the most likely winner having dotted up last year, can’t remember what price i got but it was a damn sight more than 13/8, it also signalled for me the beginning of the changing of the guard as to who is the boss now.

Carrying the weight of my burden here will be Paula Creamer sure she will be impressed with that and can’t resist the 11’s available on Annika, will leave it there as others given present moods are a bit risky, although i was sorely tempted by Morgan Pressel, her’s hoping i don’t end up with egg on my face again :).

As always whatever your picks be lucky.

Well done with Clark last week wakeman and it’s a pity he didn’t manage to get his first pga win.

I am only betting on one tournament this week. I was tempted to have my first bet on the Tour of Champions in the Women’s golf as it is on the Golf Channel and BF have got a market up on it but decided to give it a miss.
Adam Scott should win in Japan but his odds are too short for my liking.

I am in dismal form lately so here’s hoping for some luck in China. This course is easier than the one in Singapore and I cannot resist taking the 16/1 about Phil Mickelson. He didn’t play that good last week and it is possible he may be treating this tournament as a bit of a holiday but he is more than capable of winning this and won earlier this year after missing the cut the previous week. My money is also on Nick Dougherty who finished 3rd here in 2005. I’m also backing a return to top form for Trevor Immelman and have bet on Ross Fisher as a good outsider at 100’s.

    Good luck.

I’m taking a different approach this week guys.

I’m backing some big priced golfers with the hope of a good early round, giving me an opportunity to lay the bet off. I’m having a go on 3 golfers who are teeing it up early, who should get the best of the conditions and the greens.

    So I’m hoping for plenty of birdies from Bourdy, a calm performance from Storm, and a not so much ‘plonker’ performance from Rodney. So that’s;

    Gregory Bourdy at around 150,
Graeme Storm at a massive 210,
    Rodney Pampling at around 85.

If I were to have a bet from the outset on the outright winner (and I won’t be), I’d probably split my stakes between Lee Westwood and KJ Choi, both around the 20/1 mark. I will however, have a bet on Westwood to be the Top European at 8’s, as he generally plays well in this part of the world and at this time of the year for some peculiar reason  .

Over at the tour of Champions, I’ve already backed the much improved and very classy Suzann Pettersen at 5.2. I will also lay Ochoa from the start and hope she drifts to somewhere near 4’s before backing her.

But in all honesty, I’m only tuning in to view the skirt :D

    Good luck guys.

Well what a crap plan that was

All 3 golfer shot over par and are trading higher then what I backed them at

And just to add insult to injury, the guy I have followed all year (Niklas Fasth) shoots 8 under and leads

Oh well, come on the girls lol.

Looks like your cunning plan might work Mike. Pettersen is playing well and near the top of the leaderboard whilst Lorena Ochoa is struggling a bit and is presently over par. Lorena is lovely though

This is the first time I have watched the ladies golf and I’ve been impressed with Suzann Pettersen………..I also think that she’s been playing some good golf :)

Good luck with Stadler and Fisher guys, I’m sure you got triple figure prices at least.

Looks like I need to step aside and let you guys get on with the tipping in the future

Hi Mike, thanks for the vote of confidence but i’m sure it will come to a halt at somepoint, and in my opinion your input is just as valuable, as you said did get 125’s Stadler, also have just seen the Ladies and at present Paula is 5 clear, shame they don’t operate a HT/FT like they do in the football :), would be onto a good thing at the moment.

    Cheers for now.

    Wakeman,

You are doing class mate. I hope both Creamer and Stadler hold on for you, even though it would cost me money (just a little bit though). For anyone to put up a 125/1 selection on the same day as a 11/1 selection would just be outstanding – and all this after some successful weeks on the PGA Tour.

Are you Tiger Woods in disguise

Morning Mike, well having just arose from the comfort of the Slumberland, i see that Mr Stadler has gone from overnight leader to 4th, still not to bad, Ross Fisher has gone up to 2nd, so here’s hoping that Swallow Cottage may get a sizeable return, but i get a feeling that a certain left hander will have something to say about actually winning it now. :)

As regard to me being Tiger Woods in disguise, unfortunately this is not the case although i like many would not mind his bank balance .

For me now though another day at the office beckons so will be in touch later .

    All the best

    Adrian.

Super tipping here guys. Hope you made a few pound this weekend Swallow Cottage. Keep up the good work.

I always feel that this area of the forum is ignored by the majority but often has some great tips in it.

Cheers David…….by the way, thanks for all the hard work you are doing in the OOM horse racing competition – I was leading after 2 rounds – pity it didn’t finish then :)

I did really good this weekend but it was my first winning tournament for some time. The star of this part of the forum is wakeman who looks to have backed yet another winner with Creamer unless she collapses in the final round and also tipped Stadler e/way + Ogilvy was placed in Japan.
I think that Mike also won with Westwood but I don’t know how the betting rules work on top europeans when tied in play offs.
