“Racing has to be inclusive; it is an international sport. How do you claim you are a worldwide representative sport if you don’t include workers from round the world? Can you imagine: Formula 1 is a [predominantly] British industry, but what if you had to be English to drive the car? It’s absurd.”
Currently 500 vacancies according to the article and “industry on the shop floor faces a crisis is beyond argument”.
Why dont you trying paying local staff a wage they can live on, rather than exploiting the “Poles” and “Indians” mentioned in the article. Given the vocational nature of the job, problem solved, crisis over.
