Someone said to me after this race that they thought George might have been riding a race a circuit early. Having watched the race I can see where they are coming from, it just looked an odd ride on a well backed 3rd fav.

As Trending is owned by the Twitterati do any Twitterers on here know if the ride was discussed on Twitter, unfortunately I’m not a member and don’t know how to use it.

I’m not sure exactly who is involved in the owner’s group but James Knight (who I think might be/have been involved, sorry James if not) tweeted “Trending – does he realise this is 2 circuits?”.

I’ve seen one or two queries of the ride now but you have to question the competence of stewards watching the race and not even asking the question of George Baker.

I see George put in a pre-emptive strike by reporting that the gelding stopped quickly. Well I think we could all see that, even the stewards and no wonder it stopped quickly the way it was ridden. And after the race the all weather expert Simon Mapletoft said they went an absolute crawl :negative:

Thanks for the link cormack, the 2.5% share looks much the best value to me. You could buy 4 of them for £800 less than a 10% one or 2 of them for £400 less than a 5% one
