Not normally my target race but a possible angle.
Why is Sceau Royal 4/1? I realise he fell last time, but that’s his first fall and worth forgiving.
He gets 3lbs off a horse considered a Gold Cup horse, not a 2mile horse. Having his first run back and a sketchy jumper.
He gets 6lbs off a horse 2lb inferior, albeit a 7yo. Fair to say a horse that’s been talked about, but not quite delivered yet?

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 19, 2021 at 22:39 #1523678I fancy fanion destruval to run a big race
February 20, 2021 at 12:08 #1523768Sceau does look the value the question would be the fall last time , I can’t have champ so Greaneteen looks the value as an improving unexposed chaser
February 20, 2021 at 12:31 #1523770I’m going to take that 4-1 for Champ. When he’s good, he’s very good, and I think that after the race, 4-1 will look like a big price.
February 20, 2021 at 18:40 #1523878Fanion Destruval ew.
February 20, 2021 at 19:25 #1523887Cant give champ away on the exchanges now
Out to 6.4
To be expected really think he has absolutely no chance whatsoever of being a fast enough jumper to be able to keep up with 2 milers
If he does keep up and jump well then he likely wins the gold cup as he definitely has the engine for it
But il believe it when I see it
February 20, 2021 at 23:07 #1523900Backed Sceau Royal at 7/2. I think he is a solid option at that price. Graenteen is a bit overrated in my opinion and Champ is liabilty over this distance. Fanion d’Estraval was interesting earlier this week, but his price is now almost the same as Sceau Royal.
Sceau Royal 7/2
February 21, 2021 at 04:17 #1523927Holes in every runner, I was desperate to back Greanateen but I can’t. I’m not convinced getting absolutely drilled by Politologue is particularly strong form, and I personally doubt it was 160+ form. I’ll risk Dolos at 8’s.
GL all.
February 21, 2021 at 07:11 #1523932The way I look at tatling greanateen is the only potential improver so that’s why I’m playing him , it’s not a race to get too deep into , to be honest I’m only interested to see how champ jumps , 2 mile around here he,ll have no hiding place ….I bet Henderson has a stiff drink before the race
February 21, 2021 at 10:37 #1523947Now that he has drifted out enormously greaneteen is probably the play
Market has changed enormously
It was something like
Greaneteen 13/8
Champ 11/4
Sceau royal 5/1
Fanion destruval 8/1Now we have
FD 3/1
SC 3/1
G 7/2
C 5/1February 21, 2021 at 12:45 #1523974The way Lydia Hislop, Martin Dixon and Megan Nicholls are talking on RTV, it sounds like they are completely relaxed about Champ being in effect schooled in public.
February 21, 2021 at 13:07 #1523982The teacher will look silly though if the pupil falls …
February 21, 2021 at 13:16 #1523984I don’t have a problem with Champ running. They can run wherever they like. If punters are fooled enough to think he can win over 2 miles and back him (just my opinion), then its up to them, its their money.
February 21, 2021 at 15:02 #1524024Does Elliot now look silly for running Tiger Roll over the wrong trip and obstacles?
It’s all about getting a horse ready for the main target
Happens all the time
Match fitness I think they call itMember since March 2008February 21, 2021 at 15:06 #1524027Wd winners.
