    They,ll be happy enough but his jumping will cost him in the GC , he will always make a mistake , glad for winning connection after yesterday

    Fanion destruval simply isn’t big enough to jump a fence

    Looked like a pony compared to the others

    Champ surely has to be 2nd fav for the gold cup now and goes there with every chance

    Was much faster from A to B today but still makes an ungainly shape over his obstacles

    Big run and more importantly superb jumping from Champ. There’s your Gold Cup winner IMO.

    Ground wasnt soft enough for Fanion. Sceau who likes decent ground won which showed it wasn’t soft enough.

    Nathan he was a strange shape over the first 2 then ok till the last , it was better but he will always make a mistake , they,ll have to change tact in the GC make sure he settles and try and get him in a rythm , they,ll be no prisoners with Native at the front

    Don’t think he’d need a lot of settling. This race would have took the fresh edge off him now with Cheltenham close enough. He made mistakes in the RSA and still finished strong.
    A lovely blend of speed and stamina
    If his jumping has improved and I think it just may well have done he’s bang there even if making a few minor ones
