Love this race, but my record is desperate……
Ling term fancies are A Wave Of The Sea, and Recent Revelations.
A Wave Of The Sea remains of interest, despite a poor run in The Grimes Hurdle. He holds an entry for The Guiness Hurdle, but the 33’s here is very tempting.
Recent Revelations has been slightly disappointing, and he’ll struggle to get in, but I’d chance him here if he miraculously snuck in.
As well as a Wave Of The Sea, JP can count on plenty of others. Both Aramax and Charli Parcs look overpriced at this stage, and they surely won’t start at current odds.
Felix Desjy looks a proper contender here, and it’s hard to find a negative. He looked top drawer before a setback, and he looked as good as ever last time.
Willie Mullins has always got a string hand here, and I’m particularly interested in Great White Shark, the frustrating Mt Leinster, and Tiger Tap Tap.
I can’t possibly try to dissect this too much at this stage, but the early shortlist…..
Felix Desjy 8’s
Aramax 12’s
Charli Parcs 20’s
A Wave Of The Sea 33’s
Recent Revelations 33’sJuly 21, 2020 at 10:33 #1494571The early one that catches my eye is Fan De Blues. Ran a cracker at Leopardstown from a front running position, was well punted and only increased a pound.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 21, 2020 at 10:55 #1494574Should sneak in here ok Jack, but if missing out, can always fall back on The Guiness Hurdle.
Good luck, definitely an interesting one, and certainly a nice price.
July 26, 2020 at 11:20 #1495083Real problem with A Wave Of The Sea running tomorrow.
I honestly think he could run Monday, and still take this in, but it’s a risky approach, and part of me wants to go for it.
Still think the 33’s is too big for this, so I’ll decide next 24 hours.
July 27, 2020 at 12:42 #1495209Decided to bet Recent Revelations for this.
He’s extremely unlikely to get in, but should he make it, there’s no way he’d be that price.
Probably just get my money back, but it made sense to me anyway.
Recent Revelations 33’s EW 5 Places
July 27, 2020 at 13:37 #1495220Buildmeupbuttercup for me.
Two good runs in hot handicaps and still improving; course should suit it perfectly
July 28, 2020 at 12:54 #1495352As expected, Recent Revelations balloted out.
Final Decs in, and as good a renewal as you could hope for.
Still no bet for me then, but no major change to the shortlist, but I’ll be looking at this again before money down, as I’m trying to figure out the Mullins runners.
Shortlist
Felix Desjy
Aramax
Charli ParcsJuly 29, 2020 at 12:44 #1495519What a race this is looking.
It is one to come back to tomorrow, but I will definitely bet Tudor City just now at 14-1. I think that Buildmeupbuttercup will be another selection, but I will sleep on it.
July 29, 2020 at 12:48 #1495521Aramax 14/1 e/w 6 places looks a cracking bet to me
July 29, 2020 at 13:30 #1495531Tudor City and Aramon are my pair here, I’ve taken 14-1 and 8-1. I’ll do the forecasts as well.
July 29, 2020 at 16:37 #1495583I have to go with Moon Over Germany here, he’s just too big a price to my eye.
I’ll add to him tomorrow, but it’s some field, and it won’t be easy.
Shanning is interesting, but I have a slight preference for Mt Leinster right now.
July 29, 2020 at 20:08 #1495629Mt Leinster for me as well mate.
I was very very close to sitting this out, but I’ve went with the Mullins runner, and also Felix Desjy.
Felix Desjy 6’s
Mt Leinster 14’sJuly 29, 2020 at 21:57 #1495644Had another look and have added hunters call to my aramax bet
Just think its fascinating they even kept him in training after 900+ days off the track
And his form giving weight and a 3 length beating to silver streak makes him look potentially very well handicapped off 135
July 30, 2020 at 00:30 #1495662Have to admit, i find this race very hard to work out.
Aramon on looks very smart, Felix could do it, Wonder Laish is a worry considering his yard.
I probably agree Mt Leinster is worth a go. I thought at one stage, hurdles would produce the quality the yard thought he had all along, but it hasn’t happened yet. Small play on Moon over Germany too. Not sure he’ll do it, but well handicapped on chase form, and it could just clickk,,,

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 30, 2020 at 07:36 #1495674Interesting race. The outsiders are not-awful so that’s where my ew peanuts are going today.
Paken’s Rock course form
Tiger Tap Tap one last chance
Zoffalee trainer is OK
Play The Game blew the start last year- better luck this year?If one of those can come in the first 6, I get all my money back.
July 30, 2020 at 09:21 #1495683RP still have the going as Good but it is officially Soft after 22mm’s. Still heavy rain an hour ago.
July 30, 2020 at 12:32 #1495712I have to go with three here, but first of all I will stand by Tudor City + Buildmeupbuttercup both to win
My ew will either be Moon Over Germany or Tiger Tap Tap
