I think his only chance would be if they make it the be all and end all of his season Glad.
The soft race at Tramore and then straight to Cheltenham.
That’ll never happen though.
April 30, 2025 at 18:44 #1728810That was a desperately poor Grade 1. The 2nd was last seen out easily beaten in the King George and doesn’t like good ground. The 3rd is a handicapper winning only 1 of his 8 Chase starts and the 4th was beaten out of sight in the Gold Cup with his King George win beginning to look like a race that fell apart due to the non staying front runner.

Cormack
May 1, 2025 at 00:19 #1728831Watching him today made me imagine him doing a Crisp in the National…although I’d hope he wouldn’t spook at The Melling Road the way he did at the road across Punchestown.
May 1, 2025 at 01:46 #1728833Rather a conditions race today, but it’s the entire picture you have to look at. His lifetime achievements and how great he is OUTSIDE novice company. No jumping issues and always a G1 competitor from November till the end of the Irish NH season.
May 1, 2025 at 08:18 #1728835Galopin is a decent horse probably capable of winning a new style National off top weight but let’s be honest, and after accepting he can only beat what’s put in front of him, but this is hardly a golden age for steeplechasing.
Fastorslow had his measure twice and might well have done again in the Gold Cup but for unseating.
May 1, 2025 at 08:53 #1728837He looked really hot at the start
running on a course he hasn’t performed to his best on more than one occasion on going you’d say was quick enough for him. Okay he’s beat inferior opposition but had plenty of negatives against him.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 1, 2025 at 09:48 #1728841Smashing horse he has been. The times throughout the day yesterday indicated plenty of water put on so I don’t think the going was that much against him than it could have been (plus no ‘Fastorslow standard horse’ in the race). The Gold Cup was run 6 seconds faster than standard so he would’ve felt a bit more uncomfortable on that surface through the race even though he likely got under the standard time himself there.

Who the **** is Constitution Hill????
