    Its an interesting stat that although Galileo is a top if not the top sire of flat horses he has never sired a winner over 5F or 6F. I know his progeny are generally mile to middle distance horses, but the early 2yo races are often not really sprints but generally won by the horse that can last the distance at that young age, so you would have thought he would have had a few in that category over the years.

    Having said that he has the second fav in the opening race at Newmarket today over 6F, so that could be one to lay.

    Although Galileo sired the winner of that 2yo-maiden at Newmarket you must differenciate between 2yo and older horses in races over 5-6f.

    Galileo had a 2 year old winner first time out at Naas over six furlongs last week.
