….but seemingly will not be riding

Well if John or Thady Gosden or any of their staff or those at Cheveley Park are reading this post on TRF tonight please do all in your power to get Frankie back on Inspiral Tuesday week to kick off the first race with a winner at his favourite course on his favourite mare since Enable. :yahoo:
Frankie is the only jockey she responds well too Kieran Shoemark seems too anxious and that seems a negative against her chances, although I will still back her.

Dettori would bring her home for the Queen Anne and Cheveley Park to kick start a great 5 days racing Tuesday week. :yahoo: Jac

Doubt this will happen but why not use him if he’s there and willing.

Please no, Dettori in the saddle would be unbearable hype. ITV will be beside themselves with over egged hysteria.

We all know he’s gonna pop up all over the shop RTB…his daughter’s getting married the week after and I think there’some sort of party tent where Frankie and family will be hosting.

Personally I’d like to see him ride Inspiral one more time, she certainly goes well for him and it’s the first race on the first day..what a way to kick off the meeting. :yahoo:
You just know Frankie will be popping up on ITV’s podium and generally being Frankie. But you have to hand it to the man..if Kieran Shoemark manages to win on Inspiral the owners will shake hands and pat each other on thd back. If Frankie Dettori wins on Inspiral the whole racecourse will erupt. It would be a great crowd puller and IMO good for racing as so many young racegoers love Frankie Dettori. Jac

I can tolerate him on the ITV podium but as for him winning on Inspiral me thinks that’s your dream Jac B-)

I heard a rumour that Frankie is a little nervous of riding Inspiral just incase she gets drawn next to Witch Hunter
Is Wesley Ward bringing a team over this year? Its been a little quiet, usually by now we’ve heard about some of his

I think Inspiral’s already worked out how she’ll beat the Witcher Nathan
Looks like the plan is for WW to bring over several of his best juveniles and players to Royal Ascot this year according to this article….

quote…Ward plans to run Ultima Grace in the Queen Mary, Saturday Saturday Flirt in the Norfolk Stakes and Burning Pine in the Albany, while Honorary American is a possible at this stage to join his stablemates on the plane to Britain on Wednesday with the Windsor Castle his target should he travel…unquote

Surely Frankie will be itching to hop on one of those if he gets the chance.
Might be worth taking the price offered by some bookies that he would take a ride at RA this year. :good: Jac

    Thanks for that Jac
I wouldn’t mind seeing Frankie riding

I’m not Frankie’s greatest fan as I absolutely hate his flying dismounts. But, since he has left and Olivier retired there seems to be a gap of top class jockeys in Europe. Leaving Gosden’s yard surely did him very good and I doubt he’d like to get close to that yard again.

It would be nice to see him riding again in an European turf race at some time. Horse Racing is lacking more personalities I’d say. Ryan is a fantastic jockey and most likely in the top three worldwide, but apart from him there aren’t many of them to attract you to the sport.

Agreed about the flying dismounts Ruby :good: However, I’ve been at Newmarket when he’s ridden a winner and just tamely hopped off and you can hear the groans of disappointment around the winners enclosure, some people just come to see him hoping for the trademark flying dismount.
I think we’ll he hearing a lot from Frankie over the 5 days and hope he does take part in one or two races.

Like you said Ryan Moore is a top jockey but rarely smiles or shows emotion. I remember when he rode a Group winner on the July Course we were sitting close to where the jockeys come out to go home with our coffees trying to see how many jockeys we could name when they appeared dressed in their day clothes. There was a fair crowd waiting around just to see Frankie come out but first to appear was Ryan Moore clutching a bottle of Champagne after his big win..the group didn’t recognise him as we would have and let him pass through ..but then Frankie appeared and he was surrounded and I have to say he was brilliant with them even at the end of a long hot day he stayed with the crowd signing their racecards, having selfies taken and talking to the children everyone there got an acknowledgement from him.

Love him or dislike him, he certainly has been and hopefully will continue to be a great Ambassador for our sport… Jac :rose:

To be fair to Moore his interviews this season seem more relaxed and natural , watched him talk after a midweek night meeting this week and thought he came across well , he’s not Frankie but he doesn’t need to be , Dettori needs to be careful he doesn’t become the boxer who takes one to many fights …

Yes HDLG there is a somewhat more relaxed persona about Ryan Moore lately.

I do think the whole Frankie ‘retirement’ saga was much too drawn out and at the end of it he might have realised he had made the wrong call there was at least another year left in him and some pretty good older horses still to ride. John Gosden’s has already admitted that his 3yo’s are not firing as expected so he’s looking towards horses like Lord North, Inspiral and Gregory to continue improving this year.

I’m hoping Inspiral will win the Queen Anne Tuesday week with her new eager jockey on board, but she is not a straightforward ride and KS will hopefully have been familiarising himself with her quirky habits she’s not the easiest of rides and Gosden said she’s very clever and will only do enough. I want to have a really nice bet on her at around 3/1 but worried if she gets one reminder too many she’ll stop….anyway that’s for discussing nearer the time. She’s my favourite filly so I”m biased..lol B-)

Really looking forward to the best 5 days flat racing of the season.
    :good: Jac

Flown by RTB … Ryan Moore rode 3 winners on the 1st day last year and in the Queen Anne Inspiral was beaten a neck by 33/1 shot Triple Time.

Frankie says he is not riding or doing TV according to RP , I think he’s great and it will be very funny if he does another complete turn and rides and does TV . Hope he does ride.
As for Moore , he lets his riding do talking , no other jockey in world has his pressure to deliver week in week out all over the place .

Lol helcat we’re all waiting for what Frankie does next amd I just can’t see him turning up for Royal Ascot and not capturing some sort of media attention.

I’d rather ITV invited Frankie onto the show each day for his views in place of Sir Tony McCoy who is as interesting as paint drying when it comes to flat racing. B-)
