    Chiasma

    By Galileo out of Kind

Full sister to the freak of nature

Like having Tiger Woods or Roger Federer as a sibling you’re on a hiding to nothing trying to be half as good

Makes her debut at sandown 4:10 tomorrow

    Will lightning strike twice?

Or i suppose thrice as Noble Mission was a multiple group 1 winner

What a race that is going to be FF she has big horseshoes to fill and wish her well on debut.

This race is full of potential talent and I’m leaning towards Royal Harmony, by Sharmadal, to run a good race. She already holds an Oaks entry and 11/2 makes more appeal than the 13/8 of Chiasma even with Dettori aboard. :good: Jac

WHats been happening with Kind? Seems to have some big gaps on her progenry lists. Are they just not making the track or am I misconstruing the information?

Unless I’m crediting the owner with too much nous, that strikes as a very clever name

In genetics, a chiasma is the point of contact, the physical link, between two chromatids belonging to homologous chromosomes. At a given chiasma, an exchange of genetic material can occur between both chromatids, what is called a chromosomal crossover… (Wikipedia)

Greek khīasma ‘cross-piece’ from khīazein ‘to mark with an X’ from the letter Chi (X)

    I wish her well

This article explains her career well. “Slipped” I assume means something akin to miscarriage?

Yes that’s right, slipped = miscarried. “Aborted” is also used to describe either accidental or intentional termination of a pregnancy in animals.

I think we can call that an educational ride

She travelled into it like a good horse then had no idea what to do when he asked for an effort

Frankie then took it easy on her in the closing stages
