No selection
Does this mean that there was no favourite in the first race of the day
I’m confused
This system changed to a "laying" one some years ago.
The rules are as follows:-
1: Selection must have one on it’s last two outings of the current season.
2: Selection must be Course & Distance winner.
3: If two or more selections meet the same criteria in a race – then no "lay".
Today’s selection would be the 17:15 at Carlisle:-
90-9711 Ryedane (IRE) (ex6) Course and Dist winner

I appreciate you realised that I was only messing Matron, but god knows how I stumbled on a post from 2001
I just saw the ‘June’ bit and thought it was from this year. Obviously you’ve explained now, but in 2001 that could easily have been a day when there was no racing so apologies for my ‘sarcastic’ post, though as you know, it was meant entirely in good humour.
