i very rarely have a serious bet after the leger but there is a devil on my shoulder telling me to have a large bet on sunday, HAWRIDGE PRINCE has everything in its favour today. over 2 miles in small fields it is 3/4 and looking at the opposition many of them havent won for a long time………get thee behind me satan, chipmunk
September 29, 2007 at 21:19 #117180I would have serious concerns over his present form Chipmonk, He has looked very badly out of form in his most recent starts and I would have reservations about supporting him until he showed some enthusiasm!!!
September 30, 2007 at 06:30 #117197i thought that too sailing shoes but i think it had valid excuses on the 3 occasions it has run this year last time was over a mile and a half (too short) and its other 2 runs were on good to firm (never won on anything as firm as that) the last time it ran in a race that had things to suit it won, that devil on my shoulder is telling me to double my stakes……no no no, ha ha chipmunk
September 30, 2007 at 07:48 #117204Sunley Peace looks a decent each way poke at 14/1. Needs to improve but forget his Salisbury run where he was held up in rear in a steadily run race. He improved markedly given a first crack at 2m in the Queens Vase and then got off the mark in a fast time returned to that trip in handicap company. The Melrose form looks gilt edged and he did much the best of those to race up with the pace that day. He’s so far proved really consistent and though Distinction will be hard to beat of at his best, it’s not difficult to see horses like Baddam and Hawridge King running shockers.
September 30, 2007 at 08:38 #117207With regards to Hawridge Prince, stable is 1/52 so far this month and August wasn’t much better.
I’d post my view on the race, but DJ has the copyright – sadly for both of us Cape Secret has been taken out, spoiling the each way option.
