just made a winning gate to wire debut over 8.5F on turf at Gulfstream Park
Will be interesting to see if she can build on that performance
January 28, 2007 at 21:44 #37132Perhaps someone can help me out as to why out and out sprinters seem to be able to stay further in the States. Plenty that were best up to 6f and 7f here go on to show their form at 1m over there. I remeber her running out of her skin in the Roses Stakes at York at last year’s Ebor meeting. Considering I’d had a big bet of Not For Me, she gave me a right scare that day.
January 28, 2007 at 21:50 #37133She’s up against different horses, might just be that she’s plenty better than allowance level in the US.
Good point though, some might be surprised to find out that Needwood Blade became a Graded Stakes winner at 9f in the US.
January 28, 2007 at 21:53 #37134PMSL at Grass
It is out of Lear Fan DJ, who has a 15% s/r with 7-9f runners, Dam by Nureyev who also has a 19% s/r with his at same distance, so maybe Sprinting was not going to be it’s forte in later life
January 28, 2007 at 22:06 #37135Another US debut for a lower quality horse in Gwenin Brawlia now Santa Anita
See how this one gets on
January 28, 2007 at 22:12 #37136Didn’t seem to like crossing Dirt track, but ran ok to finish 3rd
January 28, 2007 at 23:18 #37137Was that filly on the lasix, EW?

January 28, 2007 at 23:50 #37139Im not so sure, do you think she will be as fully tuned up as some of these?
Indian Flare will probably be under priced through her connections, might be a good lay there.
I might have a bit on Squallacious, she should be fit enough and well enough in a grade 1 last time and the likely hot fractions should help too.
January 29, 2007 at 00:11 #37140Lay off worries me a little, so i’ve stuck it in a Exacta with the 2, 7 could place at decent odds
Still contemplating Tri :cheesy:
January 29, 2007 at 00:20 #37141Cazy Pace, but she demolished em
January 29, 2007 at 00:24 #37142Yeah, i heard……. im glad i lost all track of time, as i got onto betfair i saw they were off. Would have lost more money today.
