Epsom Derby or Arc De Triomphe – better race?

Quite a tough call really. I think Epsom certainly has the more difficult track with all its undulations and twist. The fact that there is only one shot at the Derby makes it more of a unique target to hit. It’s the quality of horses that give the Arc its diamond-studded appeal because a lot of Derby winners contest in it.

I narrowly have slight preference for the Arc … but only just!

Looking back, it almost seems an injustice that Frankel never contested in either of them

Bit of a silly question and we all have our preferences for different reasons. For me both races have their slight flaws with the nature of the tracks and maybe one day we will be talking about the Champion stakes being the premier race? Its catching up

As a comparison i rate the the KGV higher tahn the Gold cup. Must truer form and always run at a fabulous testing pace on usually decent ground and no freak winners
