According to Oddschecker, Skybet are the only firm offering odds on Audous Huxley (20/1) for the derby, I could swear I looked the other day and all of the firms had him priced up? Anyone know why? Is it because he’s running tomorrow and the firms don’t want to lay any bets out of fear?
April 12, 2022 at 12:58 #1593202It will be interesting to see if he can do on Turf what he did on the AW.
It looked a decent time.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 12, 2022 at 13:25 #1593209Yeah it will be indeed, want to back him for the Derby as I can see him winning tomorrow and shortining markedly, however the current 20/1 doesn’t seem a great price for a horse thats won one AW race against an average field.
April 14, 2022 at 17:59 #1593683Eydon won the Feilden in good style today, coming from last to first in a slowly-run race.
But as implicitly stated, the overall time was slow and while you could maybe rate him 112 for beating OR 107 Maskela the way he did, he’d still have something to prove to be considered Derby material and I wouldn’t have him certain to stay 1m4f on pedigree.
That said, he’s 33/1.

April 18, 2022 at 17:57 #1594452MIGHTY ULLYSSES 50/1 My dark horse for the derby returns at Epsom in there trail going the Cracksman route
April 20, 2022 at 21:07 #1594846Best prospect I’ve seen this season is New London, loved how he powered away the other day
And his breeding suggests he should just get better with time and a step up to 12f
Have decided to take the 10/1 before it dissappears
April 21, 2022 at 10:54 #1594972Sometimes I just have a gut feeling.
Sometimes it’s wrong, sometimes it’s right.
I’m not hearing anything about him, and he’s friendless in the ante-post Derby market, he might not even be aimed at the race, but Goldspur has been my dark horse for The Derby for ages.
I’m fond of facile comparisons and in a weird way he reminds me of Nashwan on pedigree – by a non-staying Derby third with stamina on the dam’s side.
His 2yo form is probably 10lb to a stone short of what’s needed, but his dam was progressive at three, having never raced at two.
All winter I’ve hoped he would go to Sandown – and sure enough he reappears there tomorrow.
He might disappoint, he might win and go for the Prix Du Jockey Club instead, we’ll see.
Come on, Goldspur!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 21, 2022 at 11:21 #15949771st Ive looked at the Derby for a few years now. 1st thought is New London should stay further than this. Whether either is good enough? Well I will just observe most racing this year to get me mojo back. Before backing big winners again….
April 22, 2022 at 13:22 #1595177I’ve added Goldspur 28-1 ew.
April 22, 2022 at 14:10 #1595185It’s 40/1 with four different firms, Mike.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 22, 2022 at 14:46 #1595193He could be a leger horse having run over 1m2f as a 2yo, be interesting to see if he has the class/pace for a Derby
Today will tell us more
April 22, 2022 at 15:18 #1595198I like cash outs Ian.
April 22, 2022 at 15:26 #1595199I was quite taken with River Thames’ maiden win so he is my early selection, 33s with most firms. He runs today in Goldspur’s race.
April 22, 2022 at 15:44 #1595201Don”t think I saw a Derby winner there.
April 22, 2022 at 16:03 #1595207Shirley Heights got beat 10 lengths by Whitbread in this race in 1978, Adayar got beat last year, and Troy only won it a neck.
Never say never, but I see where you’re coming from.
