The rumour is that World Domination will next be seen in the Newmarket Stakes. Should both he and Frankel be victorious at the Guineas meeting, how long before the comparisons with Tenby and Commander In Chief begin?
April 17, 2011 at 18:25 #350791It went under the radar a bit due to the two Cecil colts and Newbury and also the fact he was 1/20 but I thought Nathaniel was very impressive at Haydock. His action and attitude when he went clear (no meaningful opposition) was very taking.
Still 40/1…Chester Vase next I believe.April 18, 2011 at 03:45 #350870That Oxx horse who finished behind Marksmanship was Zanughan who won today at Navan.
April 18, 2011 at 09:51 #350890I was suitably impressed with World Domination, taking into account his greenness, he ran a very nice race on his debut, obv Mr Cecil will have kept plenty back to work on.
25s is looking very nice now but is he such a short price purely because of his connections?
The runner up from the same yard ran a race full of promise too (Solar Sky i think) and will surely win NTO also.

April 18, 2011 at 10:43 #350909I think we can rule him out of the Derby now
Cecil will surely never run both World Domination and Frankel.
I i was Frankel’s owner i would just keep him to mile and maybe look at the Irish Champion Stakes later on in the season when he is getting settled.
World Domination bet nothing on debut but it was a taking performance….Hard to believe how much goodness is at Warren Place this year

I wouldn’t bet on it. He ran Tenby and Commander In Chief in 1993 and didn’t he run both Reference Point and Legal Bid in 1987?
April 18, 2011 at 10:57 #350921Before my time
But
They certainly weren’t as good as Frankel….their is a kinda support base built for this horse re the trainer bobby frankel and connections certainly would not want to do anything that may harm frankel as becoming an all time great.
Its scary to think that frankel just barely won his maiden and WD hacked up in his. If cecil expected him to need it…..well just WOW!!!!!

Can’t find anything to agree with in your view. We will see.
April 19, 2011 at 04:42 #351052He didn’t beat a great deal, but I thought Nathaniel did it nicely, Shabby.
Frankel had him in his pocket on his debut, but take that one out of the race he would have put a few lengths between himself and a future winner, Genuis Beast. That one looks sets to make his seasonal bow this Saturday (entered in two races on the Sandown card).
He looks the type to keep improving all season and it’s hard to know far he can go, but I get the impression that Epsom will come a shade too soon for him.
I like his attitude and his pedigree suggests that he could be a real Leger type. I think he’s crying out for a bit of give and would thrive around a track like Donny. He doesn’t appear to do anything too quickly, but travels well, keeps galloping and the long straight would play to his strengths.
I like him.
April 19, 2011 at 07:02 #351064I really like this colt and had a couple of quid on him after his second run last year after which Johnny G made some very positive comments.
I think you could be right about the Leger Bos but he did show a fair amount of speed on his first two starts over a mile.
Again I would agree that he would be better with some give which he is not likely to get. I am not sure how he will get on around a tight track like Chester either. He seemed to take a while to hit his stride at the weekend and he strikes me as a galloper.
Still at 40’s though and worth a little interest imo.

April 23, 2011 at 18:17 #351830If the present going continues I would be inclined to watch rather than wager on the Guineas. As they say all horses will go on any going once.So we don’t really know much at this stage about how they will react to the firm going.

Barocci fails to win a poor Group 3, never got the hype about this horse both here and other forums – think it would be time for people to let him go now unless they want to lose more money in Derby/Arc markets.
April 30, 2011 at 14:23 #352845Frankel has NIL chance in the Derby if he runs anything like he did today.
