Very soon I would expect. Entered for the Dante. There’s a 1m maiden on the same day as the Greenham Stakes, also has the Wood Ditton option & I’m sure there are a few 10f maidens around as well.
March 31, 2011 at 17:45 #348108It’s not certain that Epsom will be the target, but Maxios looks like absolute quality. May run in the Prix La Force in just under 2 weeks, which will give an indication of how he matured over the winter.
March 31, 2011 at 20:06 #348139All over him for the Arc already
April 1, 2011 at 08:25 #348219Zarks: As i follow Stoutey and Mr Cecil it was of course my mistake with World Domination!
I see your point about Carlton House but my money is already down
April 1, 2011 at 10:50 #348252I backed Recital antepost now…..big bet for me. Just love this horse. Now lets see if the plan comes together or falls to pieces
April 1, 2011 at 13:39 #348285Read yesterday that during a recent gallop he was playing up big time like a true Montjeu.
April 1, 2011 at 14:34 #348289Ballysax on Sunday Week
Scary how quick its up and running
April 1, 2011 at 18:37 #348305Any idea on when we will see Pour Moi out ? I was a bit disappointed he has not been entered in the Dante. Maybe that’s an indication that he is pretty low down the pecking order at Ballydoyle or maybe something is wrong ?
Given his breeding I would have thought Maxios would be bettered suited running over the 12 furlongs of the Derby rather than the 10.5 furlongs of the French Derby.
April 1, 2011 at 18:48 #348306Pour Moi is still with Andre Fabre. The RP made a mistake about Aidan now training him.
The Prix du Jockey Club is a GP de Paris prep nowadays.
April 1, 2011 at 19:26 #348312I not sure if that is a blessing in disguise or a big disappointment for the future.
Not surprised they made a hash the RP…seems a regular occurance these days. I saw he was trading 95 during the week so i assumed he had met with a setback
April 1, 2011 at 19:29 #348315Their was a horse called Amen from AOB i was really interested to see purely because he was from a Kitza(Danehill) which is a good line. Maybe he died or has had lots of problems but always had him down as a horse to keep a eye on
April 1, 2011 at 19:42 #348318That’s really disappointing about Pour Moi. I can’t believe they got that wrong and then didn’t correct their mistake.
Maybe he will still come over. However, a lot would depend on how Ballydoyle’s contenders shape up.

Just a quick observation….

I would not dare to consider myself a good paddock judge but for me this horse has absoutely thrived during the winter…as you can see on his debut win he looks weak and has a long long stride.
At the recent Curragh working to my eye he looks like he has filled out considerbly especially around the chest and elbow area’s. Also if you look underneath he looks fuller and his arse looks much bigger.
Now this happens to every horse but comparing the horses in the space of a few months to my eye their is a massive difference
April 2, 2011 at 20:22 #348434I believe that this is no time to spend speculating on the Ballydoyle horses for the Guineas or Derby.Better to enjoy the week at Liverpool and the emergence of Spring. We will know what is happening when it happens. The return to the old approach at Ballydoyle may be a harbinger of better times.Something has to change. No more eight runners in the big one all of which are sold off before the year is out!Better one Derby winner than eight losers. No rushing into the Guineas with the banners flying.Just the old quiet preparations and the races speak for themselves.Hopefully the horses will be Aidan’s first interest this year and not the apprentice championship.Whoops erase that last sentence.
April 4, 2011 at 09:49 #348567New to this, but was having a little look at the earlier posts.
I know a little bit about Cecil’s World Domination. Watched it on the gallops last week and it finished half a length behind Frankel. I’m going to watch it wednesday up the lime kilns again. It’s running in Wooditton at the Craven, entered for the 2000g, but it’s highly likely that it won’t run. I work for Coral and we’ve shortened it to 20s now, had a little bit of interest on it, but it’s been kept pretty quiet, which is a good sign. I’ll speak to Cecil on weds, he’s got a few other nice 3-y-o’s at the moment.
I’m going to the Craven so we’ll see how he performs then [/color:88n6ep24]
April 4, 2011 at 10:44 #348576Peter Martins getting injured I thought that killed off any chance of me going to the Craven but if World Domination’s down to run in the WD, and maybe Garde Cotiere in the Craven too, I’ll be there. Cecil & Queally teamed up to win the WD last year with Diescentric which bodes well for WD’s chances (how fun/annoying, World Domination and Wood Ditton have the same initials).
