I must admit that I’d only heard of his name through the association with Musidora; I knew nothing else about him. It’s only just now that I looked him up and saw that he rode such good horses as Sayajirao, Black Tarquin and Nearula.
103 is a cracking age; I’m sure that he really enjoyed his life. May he rest in peace.
