Having my usual Antepost here on Euchen Glen. He’s came up short before in this, but I can’t resist taking that 40’s just now, as he should head here.

Due to run at Chester today, and think he should run a decent race, without quite getting there. That should tee him up nicely for this, where an EW Bet on the day to Max Places is probably the more sensible call.

Not sure he’ll be my main bet on the day, but can’t pin down anything else too strongly at this stage. Particularly keen on a good few of the Irish entries, but definitely a waiting game for now with the rest.

    Raise you @ 25’s

Not bad form at a mile but looking like he he getting better over further.Bolted up at the Curragh and was mighty unlucky LTO beaten by another progressive one. Could easily see him in the Irish Leger before heading down under for something.

    Camorra @ 33’s

Not bet him yet but not far off

    Away he goes @ 50’s

Might wait a bit longer and see how he get’s on at Goodwood, probably give in before then as well.

All three massively over priced if they turn up IMO.

I’ve went with two selections here. Licence at 11-1, and Shanroe ew at 28-1.

I’m most drawn to the profiles of Ever Present and Licence and will probably back both accordingly of those nearish to the head of the market. I’ve also backed Rodrigo Diaz at bigger odds with the extra places as I can just see Spencer dropping him out near the back and picking them off up the straight. Not sure he’ll be good enough to win but can see him hitting the frame if they get racing far enough out.

My three against the field are

    Euchen Glen 12s
    Trawlerman 14s
    Enemy 22s

Think Enemy has a big chance despite the big weight, both the big field and the trip should be perfect

Thought he really should’ve won the sagaro stakes but the jockey had a nightmare

Hasn’t been put in the race the last twice with a mind to a handicap like this and Ian Williams is very good with these types.

Trawlerman has a lot of positives, while Benaud is under the radar, and Valley Forge ran well in the Northumberland Plate before running out of puff.

Those are my three, but please note I’ve never backed the winner of this race.

I’m going through the race now and my goodness,
Earl of Tyrone looks highly impressive.
Jamie spencer has a good looking ride too as has been said by the Tin man this race is made for him. I note he has been second to both Coltrane and Quickthorn in his last two runs.
If Billy Lee gets the run of the race this could be a procession.

The first one i had in mind for this was Okita Sishi so no option but to go for him now he is a bigger price than he was when the market first opened.

His first two races were spot on, especially the Royal Ascot run.

I don’t know what to make about that last race though, i think it was a bit dodgy myself like. He drifted from 1-3 to Evens while his stablemate was backed from 12/1 to 3/1. Should of been an enquiry into that race even if they were amateur jockey’s.

Rodrigo Diaz is a big price.
He hasn’t won many races but has been in good company, only a couple of lengths third to Quickthorn a few starts ago. This race should be run at a tempo which will suit.
Fancy Man is another of interest if taking to the step up in trip

What a race ride from Frankie Dettori – shades of Golden Horn.

    Tactical genius.

To be fair, Gosden’s Muntahaa won with Jim Crowley doing the same thing in 2018.

So is it Dettori who’s the “genius”, or Gosden?
