2:15 Redcar – 5f Seller for 2yo
My Ratings Taking into account weights
Readyforone 34
Emma Told Lies 45
Granny Peel 54
Three Mates 41
Tokyo Jo 40
Granny Peel seems a little bit quirky but is easily the best of those that have run. I can’t back it at 6/4 but if it drifts to 2/1 I will be having an interest in it.
I’ve often thought it must be a dreradful horse that makes its debut in a seller but I think Picture Frame and could be better than the rest. Milly Beat, one of three newcomers, is likely to be outpaced and should be much better next year but the other two seem to have decent chances. The negative for Picture Frame is its weight but it should like the ground and won’t have to be anything special. Jord could turn this into a precession if it has been properly prepared for this race but its dam wanted 10f. Both of these newcomers should turn out to be better of all those that have raced apart from, perhaps, Granny Peel. Much more value lies with these two though.
1pt win Picture France
1pt win Jord
April 16, 2006 at 22:42 #649592:25 Yarmouth – 5f 2yo Maiden Auction Stakes
Hucking Hill 70
Jojesse 35
Satulagi 65
However Satulagi is getting 8lb off Hucking Hill so
Hucking Hill 62
Satulagi 65
I love value but neither of the two newcomers at bigger prices interest me. This Amber Valley is clearly well fancied but the other two know more so my selection is Satulagi.
2pts win Satulagi @ 2/1

1st Granny Peel 7/2
2nd Tokyo Jo 5/2
3rd Picture Frame 10/1
Must admit to having got stuck into Granny Peel at the price it got to and making a nice profit. Very bunched up finish and I think Picture Frame may be a big price next time.

1st Satulagi 6/4
2nd Hucking Hill 6/4
The two with experience fought out a tight finish with Satulagi staying on best.
