Not a stallion I was familiar with until Lucarno appeared on the scene but after Rainbow View won the sweet solera so convincingly it seems that this stallion is capable of producing speedy offspring who stay well (Not a bad combination)..
Stonerside are also not afraid to have their horses campaigned agressively and this seems to be a non northern dancer line performing well lately.. Perhaps Godolphin should invest?!!
I’d be interested what others think…
August 11, 2008 at 19:30 #176741A top flight sire who gets classy and durable horses. Reputedly very aggressive and difficult to handle.

Not difficult to believe given the way Rainbow View behaved on the way back to the winners enclosure on saturday.
I notice he is also the sire of Tajaaweed, Michita and a certain Barbaro…
August 12, 2008 at 13:40 #17679989 stakes winners from 804 runners since 1990 works out at 9% but I suspect he’s had to do things the hard way with small books of limited mares at the start.
August 12, 2008 at 15:01 #176816His euro stakes strike rate is 20% which may be because he built a reputation first in the states before more of his offspring coming over here? Just a theory.
Anyway he’s hardly up and coming now anyway given his age!!!! Rainbow View may well cement his name over here however.
August 16, 2008 at 20:08 #177153The US forums i usailly frequent love this horse too bits, but his notouriously evil nature is legendary, hence why someof his ons get gelded real quick. They are late bloomers and not pretty.
He was a useful racehorse winning the grade three Jersey Derby for D Wayne Lucas, who has worked this way too the top of the tree by upgrading his mates. Owner/breeders live him as they are tough and durable horses.
He will have coverd much better books of late thanks too Barbaro’s Kentucky Derby win.
Lurcerno looks too be a lovely prospect as a NH stallion, why Rathbarry have not bought him god only knows, he goes on soft and has a high cruising speed with a bog scopey frame,a perfect NH sire.August 30, 2008 at 20:49 #178638Dynaformers are often difficult excitable and aggressive sorts. Usually very big boned too and tough. Have to admit I do quite like his offspring though.
Sand Springs – one of his best fillies is a big tough horse and her 2yo full brother, Chapin Beach, stands over 17hh at 2yrs old! CB has the perfect temperamnet though (having nursed him through a recent injury/surgery) hes very well-mannered with no tendency to nip or bite. Have seen a few Dynaformer foals in recent years that were big powerful sorts as foals/weanings too.September 1, 2008 at 20:45 #178899I dint think thy are atractive horses, but they seem too be able too run on anything if given the time too mature.
I liked Barabro but he was not an atractive horse, I winced seeing him run on dirt, that knee action of his plus that lighting fast strip at Churchill on Derby day was a recipy for disaster.
September 9, 2009 at 11:32 #247982Not to forget this years double Group 1 winner in Germany, Wiener Walzer. A very good horse.
September 14, 2009 at 23:01 #248865Why Lurcano isnt at stud in Ireland at as large farm is beyond, he is a huge great boat of a horse, he looked round he could have jumped around Aintree when i saw him at the st leger as a three yearold.
His sire has gotten a highclass chaser in the states.
Beat All could be a good sire in the making, he is doing it the hardway so if he starts getting some good horses then its because he is a decent sire not because of the large numbers quality mares which other stallions will have ben serving.September 15, 2009 at 01:47 #248897AnonymousInactive- Total Posts 17716
I’ve always liked Dynaformers because there reliable although temprement wise its another story but I like a horse with attitude.
Glad to see a good topic like this and other Dyna fans
October 8, 2009 at 04:13 #252387He is also the sire of McDynamo, top jumps horse in the states in the last decade.
Known as a turf sire, but his three biggest horses were actually dirt runners, Barbaro, Dynever and Perfect Drift, though in fairness Barbaro was probably equally good on grass. He was one of the few stallions at Three Chimneys that wasn’t galloped for exercise, because he was too dangerous. Wears a head collar with a chain stitched into it, after he removed a finger or two from one of the grooms. His bad temperament is legendary.
October 24, 2009 at 23:30 #255219Barbaro is dead, Perfect Drift is a gelding and Dynever is at stud in Saudi after he finnished his career their…
