Enforcer’s withdrawal buggered the odds up for me.
No bet at Evs.
August 22, 2006 at 14:29 #75688That makes the Irish Derby form look pretty lame.
August 22, 2006 at 14:38 #75689And R Hills celebratres his latest success! Oops
Unfortunately he just lost out in a strong driving finish.
Dylan Thomas extremely disappointing. I’d give him another chance.
August 22, 2006 at 14:39 #75690True RD. Has been felt that he didnt really beat anything at all that day (Dragon never ran his race)but even so, the style seemed impressive enough to forgive that
Cant really see any excuses for DT today. Maybe could have settled better perhaps
August 22, 2006 at 14:40 #75691I think this Micheal Stoute fellow is a rather good trainer :)
August 22, 2006 at 14:43 #75692Was never a bet at Evs though, especially odds-on
I’m kinda glad he didn’t drift, as it would have been tempting. The restrictive odds were never that attractive as I didn’t fancy Enforcer anyway. For me, it was the same field, even with the NR. It simply turned the race into a watcher for me.

Strictly speaking this is aftertimeing but for only the second time in my life I laid a horse to lose after getting enough feedback here to make me brave. Cant say I fancied Cato or Maarahel though. Im in Denmark so not watching it…hows the ground.

You’re right. It is aftertiming
I can see how it could become a lay for some at 5/6, I personally would rather have taken a neutral view at the odds. I congratulate you on your successful lay :)
The ground looks OK. Good racing ground.
August 22, 2006 at 15:43 #75695Well done to those brave layers who ‘knew’!!
