Great stayer has passed at the grand old age of 29 (almost). One of my all time favourites. Good that he had such a long and happy life
February 24, 2020 at 13:25 #1483771I was sad hearing this morning that he had passed away, but I’m happy that he
had such a long and happy retirement. He was exactly the type of horse that I
loved watching, a big bold front running type and as brave as a lion. Along
with the majority of horse fanciers, he was one of my favourites. Thanks for
all the wonderful memories DT, you won’t be forgotten
February 24, 2020 at 13:52 #1483772Sad news but boy, he had such a good innings at the age of 29. Way more than lot of the horses on this forum.
Reportedly died of a suspected heart attack yesterday, but what a grand old age for a grand horse. He’ll never be forgotten that’s for sure!
RIP Double Trigger ♥️
February 24, 2020 at 13:58 #1483773May he rest in peace. A very useful stayer and one of the superstars of the 90s.
At least he lived a happy and long life.February 24, 2020 at 23:59 #1483808Such sad news about old DOUBLE TRIGGER one of my favourite flat horses, maybe because he was around a few seasons on the flat and quite genuine.

You've got to accentuate the positive.
Eliminate the negative.
Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.February 26, 2020 at 14:57 #1483914I just loved his big white face and his charisma every time he ran what a fabulous horse he was.
Goodbye Double Trigger old friend, wiping a tear from my eye but also happy that he had such a wonderful retirement.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 1, 2020 at 20:49 #1484373What a horse, I was lucky enough to see him in the flesh a few times.
It’s good to know that he had such a good retirement.
March 2, 2020 at 07:59 #1484407RIP Double Trigger, absolutely stunning to look at and hugely talented, fabulous horse, glad he had a long retirement.
