Do you go to the dogs??
Anybody have any preference where they like to bet or view greyhound racing in the UK?
A personal choice is Walthamstow & Wimbledon on a betting point of view.
Which track has the best market?
Viewing point for me is non as Shawfield is the nearest to me and I dislike handicap racing although I think they are building a new track outside Edinburgh near Wallyford due to be ready in September. What about 425 is it good for the sport? They do seem to be giving good coverage with plenty open racing and plan to cover all the heats of the English Derby this year.
September 25, 2005 at 10:38 #89047Hiya,
Went dog racing for the first time last night and found it more fun – and with more generous odds – than I expected. Hall Green’s not a bad little track, although with the circuit raised so far above the ground level of the outside viewing areas (is this normal for dog tracks?) I was glad of my seat in the restaurant. Some nice A1 races to finish the card, with Transform Ted landing his fourth race from his last five attempts at this level – comfortably the most impressive performance of the night.
Note to allcomers – avoid the tomato and basil sauce offered with the salmon in the Hall Green restaurant. It IS just a dollop of Dolmio straight out of the jar. Bandits.

November 7, 2005 at 15:33 #89048If anyone lives within fifty miles of Nottingham, there’s an interesting meeting tonight at 7.20.
All the regions football clubs* will be in attendance and there’s a special race with each club represented by a Trap. It’s only £4 to get in and all the players will be there. I reckon it’ll be packed, which will p**s
off the hard core even more than the Saturday Night six-packers do.*with the exception of Nottingham Forest. I have no idea why they won’t come out to play. Perhaps the players are staying at home watching videotapes of their European cup triumphs in the late 18th century. Burton Albion have taken their place. Which is a potential portent for five years time in Division 2.;)
November 9, 2005 at 19:01 #89049I go once a year to the Reading Masters final.
Don’t know much about the woofers, but my record is 5/6 winning nights
Loved watching the Derby on 425/Sky & have vowed to have a night out to Wimbledon next year.
