If a horse you backed, wins and you’re paid out, but, subsequently, it’s disqualified weeks after you’ve been paid out,
Will the online bookie take the money back from your online account or even your bank account?

I guessed as much.
The point I was making was that they do not chase you for payouts weeks/months/years later.
Funnily enough they don’t usually credit you with winnings from the horse that was subsequently promoted either.
I’m still waiting to be credited after Simple Verse was deemed to have been incorrectly disqualified in the St Leger.🤬I was at Flemington in 2017 to watch Winx race , 2nd to last race backed filly at good odds called Now or Later , had run 3rd in Irish 1000 Guineas earlier in career
Got 14s so was happy . Trained by Robert Smeardon , she flew down outside like Phar Lap and got home . Was good old collect .
Smeardon had horse called Lovani in last , it was withdrawn on order of stewards . It later came out they were caught with syringes in stable area ready to administer the go go juice to Lovani , Smeardon went down for industrial scale perfornance inhancing doping , 271 proven cases , banned for lifetime plus .
I think Now and Later was later DQd , but i had a pocket full cash as i left course that day , mind you the biggest lump of seagull **** ive ever seen landed on me as my horse in last crossed line tailed off in last place so kind of karma in hindsight i suppose .Was guessing you bet was Famous Bridge
And in answer to your question no, bookies pay first past the post it doesn’t matter if disqualified on day, weeks or months later as they are the rules.
Those who backed the second who would then be promoted to first weeks later won’t get paid as winnerVf x
