Day Five – final day = The Cocked Hat Stakes (formerly the Predominate) at Goodwood-
Simply nominate your Cocked Hat Stakes 1-2-3 belowAll you have to do to enter is nominate your 1-2-3 in the following Derby Trials –
Chester Vase (complete)
Dee Stakes (complete)
Lingfield Derby Trial (complete)
Dante Stakes (complete)
Cocked Hat (Predominate) StakesYou’ll accumulate points as follows –
Each prediction that finishes in the spot you nominate you get treble the SP (so if you pick the winner in the Chester Vase you get SPx3)
If your prediction finishes one spot out (say your 1. horse finishes second) you get SP x 2
And if you are two spots out (your 3. horse wins for example) you get the SP only. You don’t lose any points for unsuccessful picks. Your points accumulate race by race.
In the event of a dead heat the player with the biggest priced winner wins, then the biggest priced second, etc.

The Racing Post’s award-winning photographers and writers have followed Sea the Stars from his very first race all the way through to his incredible win in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. In compiling this story, we have been fortunate to receive the cooperation and help of the connections, Christopher Tsui, John Oxx, Mick Kinane and John Clarke and we are indebted to them for their help in telling this remarkable story.”

Deltaman
despite a late fightback from me courtesy of Very Good Day, and it almost was as I had Prizefighting pencilled in for 2nd and had a last minute change of heart and entered Eavesdropper instead

I can also report that the overall result was not affected by my poor admin on the Derrinstown Derby Trial so Deltaman, who led virtually from start to finish, wins the copy of the book, a great prize and a worthy winner.
Deltaman – if you can send me your address details I’ll organise the prize to be sent to you.
Thanks to all who took part and to the Racing Post for kindly putting the prize – great stuff and much appreciated.

I’ll echo the above, I’m absolutely delighted to finish 3rd considering my scant knowledge of flat form
