”Wouldn’t go that far, the last 2 years it rained and the ground conditions changed.”

I honestly think the previous 2 winners win on any ground.

Christmas Day already beat Pierre Bonnard and James J Braddock well this season and A Boy Named Susie gave the form a real nice boost in the French Derby. The Dante was always the wrong race for him but I guess it’s worked as a good prep this season.

How many times is Ryan Moore on the wrong horse in a classic? It never happed much with Vincent and Piggot.

I fancied Wings Of Eagles strongly the year he won. Aidan ran a bunch of horses in it that year and in his pre race interview he mentioned them all bar the eventual winner. Beggy on board was enough to tell how highly Aidan rated him.

Lambourn caught the eye in the Ballysax last year and was impressive again at Chester. I know Delacroix is the classier horse but Dubawi doesn’t throw Derby material.

    Chivers posted this im March:
The Sire system is back. Last years winner Lambourn sired by Australia for his first Derby son victory. Available at 100-1 early in the year, did I get on? Did I Feck. Did at 12s though so fair. Also counts for extra special non-derby winning sires.

There are 7 horses currently in the market who fit the bill, all sired by Camelot and this WILL (possibly) be his year.

Pierre Bonnard 5/1 – Nuff said Fred
Christmas Day 50/1 – 9f group 3 winner on his last start for AOB
Port Ferdinand 50/1 – 7f winner on his only start for AOB
Del Maro 66/1 – Keeping on third behind Pierre in the Zetland for Charles Applebum
George Stubbs 66/1 – Unraced AOB, interestingly Mr. Stubbs was best known as a painter of horses
Golden Knight 66/1 – Winner over a mile on 2nd start for Ed Walker
Isaac Newton 100/1 – Staying on behind Pierre in the Criterium, big name, more expected?

£2 on each for now. Any free bets received or pence in the accounts will be spread across all. Should have started this earlier but now is better than never.

”Did you mention the big price you got pre-race? If not you run the risk of having your post removed as the price long gone. Forum rules as i understand it.”

I’m not sure but I can screenshot it if a mod needs proof. What kind of sad idiot would be in boasting about fake winners FFS.

I realise the odds could well be prohibitive at times however I would prefer horses to be grouped by trainers; do the French still do this?

WTF is this new rule about?

He said: “Soon after the horses had left the starting gates we were notified that the favourite had his left hind leg on the running board just before the start was affected, which resulted in him not being able to jump on terms with the field. He was standing on three legs when the stalls opened.

“We then considered the fact that in terms of our rules he had been denied a fair start. Having got evidence from Ryan Moore that he wanted to go forward with the horse, we noted that he was very slowly into stride and was second-last shortly after the start and was really on the back foot.

“His race had, in our view, been negatively affected. On that basis. In terms of rule H6, we can then declare a horse a non runner.”

That would be sick and a reason to question this forum. I mean your integrity is out of the question, GM.

“O’Brien is a poor judge of a horse. Hasn’t a clue to put the top jockeys on year after year.”

Mike I truly believe there was a bit of ‘smoke and mirrors’ at work today.
Can you imagine what price Christmas Day would have been if Moore had been on board.
The Lads wouldn’t even give Chapman the time of day and when he mentioned CD they blanked him out.

    Ruby.

I’m pretty pissed about it to be honest. I have proof of every winner in that post. No call for deleting it!

After Mighty Magnus winning they now have there 59.40 back out my winnings. That non runner rule is a joke and hopefully will be reversed.

But if Benvenuto Cellini had finished in the places, he would’ve been declared a runner

But the stewards then held an inquiry to look into whether he had a fair start. Overhead television footage appeared to show that his near hind leg was on the shelf in the stalls when the gates opened and he was deemed a non-runner.

This surely wasn’t the first time such a thing happened in the history of the sport. Why did no one react in the past? Somehow this looks an excuse just to make sure BC’s stud value doesn’t decrease too much after his rather dismal performance. Ryan didn’t know the horse was deemed a NR once they jumped out, I guess he ran a “true” race.

Good point Ghost, what if he won? A non runner winning lol

Daft rule if you ask me. If the stalls open they should be declared a runner. Horses rear up in the stalls and they aren’t declared non runners.
