Very unfortunate for Paddy Mullins and Cousin Vinny. He had Pandorama well covered at the time. Should have a great chance whatever race they decide to target at Cheltenham. Also interesting to hear that Noel is favouring the three mile race for Pandorama now.

Where did you hear that IC?
I heard that they may be skipping Cheltenham altogether with Pandorama?

February 16, 2009 at 14:36 #210497Had a wee bet on Pandorama yesterday and was very lucky but in ante post terms (as I feared) the race was a bit of a disaster for me. CV doesn’t get the opportunity to show he is better than HF and looked a strong enough stayer to take in the Ballymore. Pandorama may miss the Festival all together or run in the AB. Novice events are looking like barren ground.
February 17, 2009 at 18:54 #210715As I watched young amateur jockey Mr.Mullins nearly killing himself from lack of experience( not remaining curled up ’till the last horse had passed him) my mind went back to Dawn Run and Tony Mullins falling off on the final run before Cheltenham An erring similarity. Surely Willie Mullins is not going to make the mistake that his father made (and side with his son as the jockey to ride such a valuable horse ) when Ruby Walsh is the stable jockey?Young Mr.Mullins is not ready to ride against the professionals at Cheltenham and the proof is in the pudding.

February 17, 2009 at 21:06 #210733Patrick Mullins is not ready to ride against the professionals at Cheltenham??
Who was he riding against when he won the bumper on CV last year then?
February 18, 2009 at 01:18 #210789As somebody said in another context, If his father was not the trainer"this conversation would not even be taking place"

Didnt see the race so I cant comment. Did you think he should have been able to stay on board or that he was responsible for the horses error?? Its all i asked.

February 18, 2009 at 02:09 #210803Dear Harry,
My answer to your only questions is yes and yes. Finally since the jockey is young and learning lets all give him a break and not add salt to the wounds. - AuthorPosts
