Mikael D’Haguenet and Donnas Palm are both declared for Punchestown on Sunday so its safe to assume that they won’t be going to Leopardstown. I doubt Hurricane Fly and Cousin Vinny are going to run against each other either and it looks like Noel will send Pandorama straight to Cheltenham. Kempes looks another promising novice for Willie Mullins. He was very useful for Frances Crowley on the level and he looks like he’ll be even better over hurdles. Wendel is an intended runner and he should give us a good idea of how the better English novices measure up against the Irish horses.
I’ll play it safe go for whichever one of Hurricane Fly or Cousin Vinny that Willie decides to run.
Hope to see a big run from Zaarito, providing not bottomless, as course ought to suit and I’ve done it ew for Supreme NH. Anticipating Cousin Vinny to go for Ballymore but could win this on the way.
Quite like Charlie Manns horse wendel, could mbe a decent e/w shot, although Hurricane Fly is the most likely winner.

Charlie Mann himself, is quite impressed with the horse.
Think he will go for the Ballymore.
I think Mullins will run both if it goes ahead. I would still be siding with Hurricane Fly.
Owner keen on running Pandorama too apparently.
Don’t think P will see which way the Hurricane goes – and neither will the rest of the field.

I think Pandorama might surprise…
I’d be amazed if Pandorama could beat Hurricane Fly (assuming he runs) over 2m2f, regardless of the ground…………..he doesn’t have a turn of foot.
And so would I . There is something missing in Pandorama. Miracle if he gets close to HF. Trainer seemed to accept this in the interview a few days ago.
I would hardly call it a miracle Roddy…on the clock, Pandorama is the best hurdler in Britain and Ireland this season.
He was well and truly beat by Mikael – hard to see an argument for him being the best.
Would rate them as follows:
1. Hurricane Fly
2. Mikael D’Hagunet
3. Diamond Harry
4. Pandorama
5. Cousin VinnyFair point IS but I can see an arguement to be made… for me his form when well beaten by MdH was over a stone inferior to his best, reported lame also. His earlier form has been shown to be smart, it may be it was his defeat the last time that was misleading not his previous wide margin wins.
Fair point – I don’t see him challenging either Hurricane or Mikael at 2m 4f or shorter – 2m 5f could be interesting and 3m he’d beat Hurricane. Think 3m+ will be his trip in time for sure.
I’m very disappointed that Zaarito won’t be running – hopefully he hasn’t has a setback or anything

They should go a proper pace on Sunday unlike both the Royal Bond and the Future Champion at Christmas. I can’t imagine Carberry will be hanging around on Pandorama and I expect him to try and gallop the finish out of the Mullins runners. I’ve heard a few whispers on the grapevine that Willie might not run Hurricane Fly on Sunday but I must stress that it is only a rumour. Looking at Betfair with a view to Cheltenham it looks like HF will go to the Supreme with CV going for the longer race but I couldn’t help noticing that HF is still in the Champion Hurdle. If he were to win impressively on Sunday maybe the Champion Hurdle could still be on the agenda?
Also interesting that Ruby doesn’t ride either horse in the race but I don’t know what we can read into that.
